Likes

I liked the infrastructure and the environment around the campus. It was beautiful and green and clean.
There are playgrounds and gardens and fountains.
The restaurants and also the big buildings and scenic views.

Dislikes

The Population is way more than a normal University.
The distance between buildings is long as you have to commute to next class within 10 minutes
The lack of assistance on given to the students who are trying to grasp the subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose ECE because of my interest in physics and innovation. The faculty and student ratio will be 15 to 60 depending on the department. Almost every faculty has a Ph.D. degree and at least 8 years of experience in their respective fields. The term exams were normal like every other University.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 304000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I worked as a Research Intern at the Control Systems Laboratory at Research Centre Imarat, DRDO. The project I have worked on is on the application of servo motors in the missile maneuvering technology and op amps.

Placement Experience

You will be eligible for placements from your 6th Semester. The majority of Tech companies visit VIT and almost 95% percentage of placements will happen. Example line Google, Amazon, Siemens, IBM, Microsoft, PWC, Accenture, TCS, Mindtree, Cognizant, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The minimum fee for B.Tech is 1,98,000 for those who got admission in category 1 and 3,04,000 for category 2 and it increases by 1Lakh for every category as you go on. There are a few scholarships for those whose VITEE Rank is below 1000.

Campus Life

There are two fests. The cultural fest Riviera and Tech fest Gravitas. Riviera is mainly conducted in the month of February and Gravitas is in August. The Periyar Library has every book you need for the courses with a soft copy.

Admission

The eligibility is a 12th pass with a percentage of 60. You can apply through the university website. The application fee is 1500/- and for the dates you can refer to the official website of the university. There are no reservation benefits as such so far as to my knowledge. I believe VIT's admission process is the most flawless.

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
