I love to read Bengali books and love to know about Bengali language that's why I choose this course 9 faculty for 140 students All faculty are highly educated and have PhD Each even end sem is followed by 4 months of teaching and odd end sem is followed by 5 months of teaching The exam is not that difficult, if you do regular classes you can write the answers well

I choose this course because my father wanted to. I am a commerce student and i have no interest in bengali.. But after coming to this university I found a little interest in this subject we have a teacher name debarati jana she is just excellent in teaching.. Also all the faculties are very good and supportive

I was good at maths and was eager to explore the world of statistics, so, I chose this course. In every class, there are 20 students at least and our Department has a total of 7 faculties. The faculties are highly qualified obviously and their teaching methods are student-friendly too. The students of Presidency University usually get 4-5months time to prepare for semester exams. Exam patterns and question papers are student friendly too.

The professors are all highly qualified, helpful and teach every concepts clearly. They even explain things numerous times if you have any doubt and suggests important questions and even guide for various competitives .

The curriculum is very detailed and covers different eras and events of Indian history and world history. The faculty-to-student ratio is quite healthy. There are regular lectures on a day-to-day basis with interactive sessions afterward. National and international conferences are held from time to time with renowned scholars invited. If one studies diligently throughout the terms, the exams are not difficult to pass.

Placements opportunity are actually very good in this college. For UG-courses, students are eligible from the 5th semester and for PG courses, from the 3rd semester onwards, they are eligible for on-campus placements. Many good companies visit campus. All the details are available on the website. The placement cell is very active and ensures a higher number of placements.

The course curriculum is very different from surrounding Universities, it definitely follows the UGC curriculum but in addition to it , it has many other good patterns and topics included . The course is made in such a way that it helps in competitive exams like NET, GATE and JAM. The faculty student ratio is good. But right now there is a bit less of faculty present, but I hope that soon the vacancy will be filled. Every faculty has a Phd degree in his/her specialised field along with some major and famous publications and books. Their teaching methods are quite impressive and great, like if you listen to the classes very properly you will understand any hard topic with very ease. Also, regular laboratory work along with assignments are given for a practice which are useful in building concepts. The exams are always in good times, like if you want to give exams like GATE and JAM you will get a month to prepare because the semester exams are conducted in such a way. It is easy .

I choose the course of Life Science since I was always interested in studying Biology and since after 12 I did not have a very clear idea about each sub-discipline of biology hence I didn't want to choose to do BSc in any particular discipline of biology. This course is very well-balanced and packed. For those who have a goal or interest in R&D and research-oriented life in biology, this course is a golden opportunity. The student-faculty ratio is moderate. Initially, it might seem a bit high but since many students leave for getting into medical college or somewhere else, the ratio lowers and it's pretty okay. The faculty of Life Science dept. is highly qualified and experienced in their own particular sub-disciplines. All our professors have done their Ph.D. from great universities in our country and outside (US, Korea, Japan, etc.) Their teaching method is very research-oriented and proper guidance is provided by our professors at every step of our course. I chose the course because I loved literature from childhood, and I enjoyed the subject throughout my academic years. The Department of English at Presidency University is small, there are 11 profs (5 male and 6 female), and most of them are highly educated and hold P.hd degrees. Most of them are active members of different academic boards. 2 of the profs (Sumit Chakraborty and Shanta Dutta) are "Professor", and one (Purna Banerjee) is an "Associate Professor" and they have assisted many scholars in their P.hd courses as a guide. The faculty is very liberal and for UG-1/2 there are special tutorial classes that are held by them to provide them extra academic care and help. The teachers are mostly nice and they help academically, mentally and even financially. The internal and end semesters are very timely and they run according to the official academic calendar. The classes are regular and discipline is highly regulated. The question level is medium and one can easily pass if the student attends classes.

I opted for MA in English because I'm a literature fanatic. At Presidency University, I got an opportunity to broaden my horizon on this subject with the help of my accommodating and intellectual professors. Our Professors are exceedingly qualified individuals and endeavor to impart to us knowledge and understanding. We had group discussions and presentations which also enabled us to develop friendly relationships with our professors and classmates. We had our semester exams every six months.
