University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

All the facilities are very good , student friendly. All have done the master degree and some have completed the PhD also. 5-6 facilities are available for around 20 students for every course. There is a projector in every rooms . Professors also arrange seminars for atleast twice or thrice in a month. In every semester there is a midsem exam and then the final semester exam held. All the questions are standard in the semester exams. If a student attends regular classes and does practice then he will get success surely in the exams.

My employability plans include competition exams. But Xavier's provide a wide range of placements with a dedicated Placement Cell and a Placement Drive on campus each year. CTCs offered are high and in reputed companies. 90% students can get placement if they want to. Companies include Google, HCL etc

I choose this course because it helps us to understand animals, wildlife, environment and ourselves. At present we have 6 professors and 35 students. They all have masters and few of them did phd. Profs are really good,attentive towards everyone . We have 6 semesters and its kinda difficult.

The course curriculum are very good. The faculty is also good. I choose the subject because I find this subject very interesting. The Teachers are well educated with P.hD . The intervals between our semesters are around 6 months.

I chose this bachelor degree in microbiology ..because the demand in microbiology is increasing in world after covid 19...and my interest on micro organisms..faculty is of 6 professors and 2 lab assistants ..and the students are 35 in per semester..3 of all professors have phd doctorate degree in microbiology biochemistry marine microbiology..and others have master degree in microbiology..exams are semester wise 6 months after to after..and study hard exam will be easy ..

The course curriculum and faculty members are very much interesting and friendly towards the students. The reason behind choosing this course is very simple, I like accountancy. The professionals are all ,very much renowned and efficient in there job

I like and love the subject so much. I was passionate to know every aspect of the subject. Faculty is great. Professors are helpful. They helps us to make notes. They Suggest us good books to know the subject. Faculty members are nice exams are little bit difficult, specifically vivas and all. You have to study hard.

I chose this course because I was interested in the subject. 4: 40 2 professors have completed their PhD. 1 professor has completed her MPhil. And another professor has completed her MA and is currently pursuing her PhD. Their teaching method is good.3 of them teach very well.Your concepts would get cleared. Internals of the college were quite easy. But as this college is under University of Calcutta,the semester exams are quite tough.You have to put in extra efforts to get a good SGPA.Understand your concepts well and revise thoroughly before your exams.(This is for psychology,I don't know about other courses)

Honestly I would say my psychology department is one of the best departments of our college. The faculty members are really good and very strict. We don't feel like we r in a college. It still feels like being in a school. Our teachers really spoon feeds is when it's necessary. Choosing psychology and this college was whole my personal interest. We have 50 students in our 2nd year class. Teaching methods of our professors r just amazing. They try to complete our course and all necessary practical before our main exam. So that we get time to study during exams and not stuck with our practicals. And there is nothing like difficult or easy to pass, it's just that if you study it's easy and if u don't it's really tough to pass. After every 3 months we have internals and after 5 to 6 months we have semester exams . Just that our teachers r not really friendly with us, rather they r really strict.

I study B.Sc Geography Hons and the main motivational factor behind choosing this subject was my passion for it. Personally I really like my Department and Faculty members....We have 7 faculty members currently....the exams are conducted by our University Of Calcutta and it is really really tough to get a decent amount of SGPA in this University
