University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I am in the first semester currently and am enjoying the course altogether. The practical classes are what attract me more I really enjoy doing experiments with semiconductors, which are in our syllabus in the first semester. The thing I don't really appreciate is that we have not got a full six months in our first semester, and the exams are knocking on our doors. There are projectors in our department, so we can see and visualize things better, which enhances our learning experience in the college. I will be appearing for the first semester exams next month, so currently,y I cannot comment on the difficulty of the exams but the previous year's questions that were provided were quite easy so I guess even this year the exams will be easy.

I being an Environmental science Hons student feel that this curriculum has a very important role in my life shaping my future, making me a better person and teaching most important values of life. The teaching methods are pretty good . We've books in our lab and are provided with e content.

It's a good course but for them who want to get their career in teaching or want to be a professor. The exam level is not too much hard. I choose this course because i love history, and want to know more about it.

I cleared my CA Intermediate along with B.com(H) as I wanted to pursue a career in finance these subjects were similar to CA Intermediate which helped me do it. Various courses requires an undergraduate degree so it is mandatory. Sem 4 and Sem 5 were most difficult according to me as many students got Supplementary exams

the college is a renowned one the curriculum has real life applications and is good for higher studies teaching methods should be develped from indegenous to smart as smart classrooms are present computer labs have minimum seating which needs to be increased to accomodate a class at once

Exam occurs in an interval of 6 months. Difficulty level is average, It is not a very tough course you can score very nice marks just by studying daily 2hrs. So overall exam level is not hard anyone can pursue the course.

i have chosen b.com hons because that was mainstream and i had commerce in my +2 .moreover the curriculum was interesting because of the introduction of new subjects like auditing and taxation, those were interesting and has prelevance and prepares you for real world situations .frequency of timings is twice in a year

I have chosen Bcom because I pursued Commerce after class 10. Bcom is one of the best UG course after 12 . After pursuing Bcom I will prepare for CAT and will pursue MBA. The time gap which a students gets to prepare for semester examination is manageable.

One of the best thing about the campus, or a thing which the students brag about, is the Placement Cell of the college. The placement cell offers various placements with different specilisation, with diversifying its area to the utmost. The quality of placement is stupendous. Areas such as Marketing, Finance, HR, and even to the students who are pursuing professional course such as CA, Actuarires, CFA, CS, and more.

The course is enrolled under Calcutta University. So the college doesn't have anything to do with it. I chose this college because of the faculty and amenities they're offering compared to other colleges. But with a degree in economics you can get into finance, data analysis, business management or anything else you like!
