University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Many top companies like PWC, Deloitte, EY offers placement. Students get average placement within Rs 3-4 lacs and the highest placement is Rs 6 lacs. Almost 60% students get job from this institute. Students in most of the cases join as manager of different recruiting companies.

The timely exams generally depend on the University the college is associated with, Calcutta University. The questions are also set by the University itself. But Loreto takes care of the strict discipline and the regular touch in the studies.

Students usually get placement from the 2nd semester onwards. Various companies like pwg, kpmg , amazon, Delloite visit our college. The package tends to be around 20k-50k pm almost 20% of students get placement from the college. My plan is to complete my professional course of ca with college.

After 5tg semester students are eligible for campus placement. The companies visited last year were TCS and others. The highest package was of 6lac and average if 1.5 lac. Very low number of students gets selected by placement in college like 10% I would go for M. Com after graduating

I choose this course due to my habit of too much reading and learning the fantasy world and enjoying it. Literature is all about portraying, learning, reading, writing, imaging and so on which pushed me to go for this course. The faculty members are very good. Each one of them are very much supportive, helpful and encouraging. The way they teach is also very noteworthy. From background discussion to main topic , everything is discussed and explained. Almost all the professors of our department are PHD holders and they also have some extra skills and knowledge like singing and dancing. The exams are conducted semester wise, almost after every 6months. It not easy or that hard to pass the exam. It's just that you have to work hard to score well.

It is a premier cooperative college that gives placement to the most of the students. Around 80% students are in the right place for job. The highest salary package is 90% and lowest is 60%. Top recruiting companies like Tata, Coal India etc visit the campus for placement.

Students must have completed their XII with minimum 60% marks to become eligible for the BBA programme. The admission will be based upon the Merit Scored by the candidates in the final list for which factors like Interview round, Entrance & Group exercise are also noted.

I always wanted to study accounting and business so I opted for honors in accountancy and finance. The faculty was good and well behaved but there were very few classes as most classes used to be empty due to the absence of teachers. There were sufficient number of students of 180 and more than 60% used to come but classes were very less. Teachers were well qualified and teaching quality was quite commendable and understanding but we had very less classes due to lack of teachers. We had semester exams after every 6 months which we had to pass through our own study and at times it was difficult to pass due to poor guidance but we passed somehow.

I liked mathematics in higher secondary and also only got the marks required to get admission to a reputed college in mathematics. So I enrolled in this course. In Bethune each semester 4-5 teachers teach us(31 students approx) in our batch. The professors have high qualifications. They try to conduct the interactive class and to look upon everyone's problems. The exams were not that easy, the questions are set by the Calcutta university but sticking strictly to the syllabus helped me pass.

Vidyasagar Colleges Geography course is popular among the students. It is offered in both PG and UG level. These have some admission criteria and for PG level selection is either based on marks secured in the qualifying exam or marks secured in the entrance exam. Application can be filled online as well as offline mode. Application fee is paid through debit or credit card.
