Students should pass 10+2 or its equivalent exam with an admission test supported by the institute for this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our teachers are very understanding and helpful. We are free to contact them whenever we need it. They are so friendly. The faculty: student ratio is 1:10. Till now there have been no exams. My course is Mass communication and journalism because I want to become a journalist in future and I think my teachers will help me to do that.

Placement Experience:

For this course students are called for a short interview before placement. The percentage of students getting placement is 40-60%. Wipro, Yes Bank, Indigo, HDFC Bank etc are the choice of the institute.

Remarks:

Journalism is one of the most important courses in modern world. For the admission students need to submit minimum 50% marks and it's equivalent score is necessary for the entrance. It is affiliated to the Calcutta university and it is one of the oldest Institutes of the country and one of the first colleges run by the Indian authorities.

St. Xavier's College, Kolkata is a reputed institute known for its academic excellence. The main reason of joining was the discipline of college. The education quality of the autonomous institute is such that it's own curriculum and methodology is unique.

Admission:

The college followed all the guidelines of Calcutta University for BBA (H) admission and that's why I firstly had to appear in the entrance test. After that, shortlisted candidates get to participate in the Group exercise and Interview organised. The college used to evaluate all these performances and then do final selections.

Remarks:

M.Sc Zoology gives students vast knowledge about animal kingdom. Admission for this course needs graduation marksheet as well as HSC result for pursuing the course. GD, PI are not needed. Admission is based on merit process. 22% and total 6% of seat are reserved for SC/ST candidates respectively.

Remarks:

Vocational subjects are increasing it's importance day by day. So, computer related course in this subject can bring students a lucrative job offer. HSC pass with 50% marks from recognized university is required for admisson. Candidates have to show their examination standard for the admission.

Placement Experience:

Students get teaching jobs in different schools. Some renowned companies visit the college for placement but meritorious students are given preference about work. Most of the students pursue M.Sc degree and they often opt for Ph.D too.
