University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The students become eligible to be placed from the last semester or third year. Highly reputed companies like Detroit, TCS, and many others come for on-campus recruitment. 85 percent of students are placed and the rest go for further studies. I plan on getting a master's degree after completing my bachelor's.

Students must aware of the college placement website. It depends on how much you see the website. Every day, the college posted offers from big4. About 80-90% of students are placed. Companies like TCS, DELOITTE, EY, ACCENTURE, DE SHAW, TATA, INTERNSHALA, BYJUS, etc. Visited our college.

After completing last year students get placement. TCS and many other small companies arrived for campus interviews. 2-4 lakhs are packages offered by the company. 75% of students got placement easily in Kolkata. I am pursuing ca course

From first semester the students become eligible for campus placements. There are various companies like TATA,steel and technical companies are visited and many offers are made by them. The highest package is 40000 to 50000 per month and average package is 20000 to 30000 per month given as per companies and profiles offers. 30to 40% of students are getting placements many of companies. From 2nd Semester Students Became Eligible For Campus Placements. TATA,WIPRO,CAPGEMINI,GENPACT,RELIANCE. 100 offers are made every year. Highest package of TATA 4-5 lakhs P.A. 70 percent of students get placement. Doing job in TCS.

The students are eligible to sit for placement in Semester 5. The companies visiting the college include a lot of big names including all the Big 4 firms- KPMG, Deloitte, EY & PwC. Other than these Accenture, Zomato, Capgemini, Goldman Sachs, etc also visit the college. The placement percentage is decent with the avg salary package hovering around 4.5-5 lpa which may go as high as 21lpa.

Since I'm reading the same course in the same college I did my graduation, things are pretty much the same to me except for the syllabus. The faculty-to-student ratio has decreased from 11:28 to 11:20. The course has just begun and the faculty has been the same to us as before. Looking forward to a great 2-year experience.

I wanted to study English since the beginning of time and have a career as a researcher in English. The faculty to student ratio of a Masters of Arts in English is 19:30. Most of the Faculty of the department of English is from Jadavpur University and Calcutta University. University of Calcutta exams are always tough because the cut off marks is 60% where as in other universities it's 80% and above.

The course curriculum is balanced, the faculty was decent as well. They took regular tests and took our classes regularly. There were 6 members in the faculty. We had to submit 3 term papers and they were examined thoroughly.
