University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Every semester students are given opportunity to take part in the xampus where different companies visit to hire students for different jobs.Last year only the Tata Company as well as the Trident Group visit our college to hire the students for managing jobs.Average package was around 6 lacs per annum while one student got the highest package of 11 lac per annum.Although much students don't get job from such campuses but then also 35-40% can secure their jobs.I also want to work for a Govt Co after getting the degree.

The campus is being held in our college every year by the big and small companies. Students from all semesters can take part in such campuses after filling an application where the annual package is average around 3 lacs per annum. 50-70% of students get placement in such campuses. The companies that visited our college for the campus are Tata, P&G etc. I want to become an auditor after getting the degree.

The faculty was awesome. All the time we all got more than needed assistance from them. Even they helped us like their own child in our project works also. Our course was then divided into 3 years. And each of the years I scored just because of their guidance.

In the final year, the students get eligible for placement. A large no industrial firms visit our colleges for hiring purposes. KPMG DELOITTE PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK is one of the industries that visited our college in recent years for campus purposes. The highest salary being offered was 8 lacs with an average package of around 2.5lacs per annum. About 50-60% of students get placement. I want to become a Chartered Accountant after getting the degree.

Asutosh College is a popular and reputed NAAC accredited college in West Bengal. The admission to BBA course is merit based on the Class 12 marks. The reason is that the college is good in teaching and aswell as extra curricular and also free from politics.

Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College is a NAAC accredited college and top ranked among Interdisciplinary colleges in India. Admission process is on the basis of Merit of Class 12 final marks. Campus recruitment and Placements are also good in the institute.

After semester 5 students become eligible for college placements.A no of audit firms and banks visit our college to hire students for accounting and audit purposes like Singhi & Co,Db Desai, Bank of Baroda. The highest package offered was 6 lacs per annum and the average package is around 3-4 lacs. Around 50-60% of students get placement in such campuses.I want to become a Cost Accountant after getting the degree.

Students after the 5th semester can participate in campus placement. Many renowned company visit our college every year. Every year 80 percent students are getting placed in different companies. Highest package was 10 lakhs per annum given to a student of our college. I will do my own start up after getting the degree.

Bethune College was the first ever all Girls college in Asia and has made quite a mark throughout its 140+ years history which made it a popular option for my MA. The college was placed 77th by Outlook and 74th by IndiaToday for their respective 2021 rankings of Art's category. It is NAAC accredited with A Grade and is affiliated to Calcutta University. Admission to the PG programme is based upon Merit as well as Admission test performance of applicants.

Bangabasi College is a famous name whenever we talk about B.Sc colleges in Kolkata and that's why I opted for my B.Sc here. The college is approved by UGC and functions under the University of Calcutta. It is also accredited with the NAAC group. There are a number of B.Sc branches in our college and the admissions are based on the scores attained by the candidate in 10+2 boards.
