University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I applied to many colleges. Due to my not so good score in H.S. i was not getting any of them. That's why i joined this college. Because i was getting this college. That's why i chose it. No special reasons.

Many good company come for selection. The placement of the college is good. And you can get good package.

Vijaygarh jyotish Ray college is one of the few colleges in kolkata where after studying Chemistry you can hope to get placed and u will achieve good idea in chemistry, many seniors of my school are admitted in this college and they said that the college is good, the faculty of lab and mostly the teachers are very helpful.

The college is very renowned for its liberal arts courses and is one of the best in the city. Since I was looking for a college in my own city and had no intentions of studying in any place other than my hometown, I think Loreto fulfills all what I was looking in a college.

Calcutta University Engineering Department which is present in Rajabazar Science College campus in Kolkata is one of oldest technical institutes in Country. The dept. which I am studying in was established in 1925 (Applied Physics) and has rich heritage. It was until recently that CU started taking students through WBJEE because previously only the cream BSc degree holders from CU affiliated colleges in Bengal were admitted. So I feel extremely privileged to be part of this prestigious institute. Also the placement statistics for my dept. is good as 70% of students got placed this year in core sector with median CTC of 6 LPA in companies like Linde, Technip, CESC, Worley, Haldia Petrochemicals just to name a few. Considering the total fees is just THIRTY THOUSAND rupees, the ROI (Return On Investment) is best I could find in India (Other than Jadavpur University).

The faculty is top notch, good laboratories and experienced staff who help you to have hands on experience of conducting experiments. Libraries with very good reference books at easy access. I took up zoology because it's obviously an interesting subject and also because it is a very basic subject from which multiple avenues open.

University of Calcutta is one of the oldest Institute in the world and the rich heritage is known to all. I had to secure a good rank to enter this college. The research work done her is tremendous and great. that's why I chose this college.

The location as metro connectivity, road connectivity helps me to reach in my college from various way. The college had it's own ground free wifi and 24 hrs water ( normal and cold) available here, There is a small fees, Lab facilities are quiet good and teachers are very helpful and friendly too.

The prestigious radio physics department which gave the fame to our college. The professors are very helpful and pave the pathway for higher education in research department. World wide known scientist Dr. C.V Raman graduated from the same department and same institute. So, I think that's enough for someone to join the course

Good faculty members and heritage of the department ECE, And some great academic opportunities. It is really bad that this college has not gained so much fame like the other colleges.If you want to pursue higher studies,then this college is perfect for you.
