University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I applied for this college after my 12th exam and got in to it through merit. I applied for the college application after my exams by online and got a call letter for the college after few days. I had a small informal interview with the administration department of why i want this field and all that. After the interview they asked for document submissions and few days later I got the official details for admission.

The cut-off is high as it's an established government college. Merit list based admission is laid out for the course, my 12th board marks were really great which got me a spot in the list and later a seat allotted too.

St. Xavier's College Kolkata is a very reputed college and getting admission into this college had always been my dream. I chose B.COM because the scope of B.COM is wide and it can get me into a good career.

Its near my house within 3 km. The main reason I choose this college was that I was close to my home. If I am in trouble my parents support me and when they need me I am immediately there. The friends still remains the same, though some has left. But the most important for me is my family.

This college takes the responsibility to educate women at a very reasonable rate and give them proper opportunity of employment. The college also provides facilities to the students like anti ragging cell, Library, NSS, NCC, and many more things.

This is a respected girls college under calcutta university. I liked sociology and opted for it. The faculty was really good. I looked it up on google. There is discipline in this college. I learnt that from ex students. Plus this college is not driven by a lot of politics. This is what drove me to study in this college.

Because i love this college and i like the subject human development.and i earn this degree bsc honours.about the fees sturcture, it really very nominal.the campus as well maintained.The faculties are so good.

University has extremely good Natural Science Dept, probably the best in INDIA. In B.Sc. Hons many great colleges (BA/BSc taught in College) has finest Science Dept. MSc is taught in Calcutta University only.

First of all. I love the tag Calcutta University. And i want to become a direct student of this college. Secondly I wanted to complete my graduation in human development and no other college was there to do this. This college campus is one of the best place with great faculties. The campus is nature friendly.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified in our college. Teaching quality is very good. The curriculum is not 100% relevant. Some teachers were very good at teaching but some were not. Especially the English teacher is the best. Other: I choose this course because I think my course is very simple and not complicated. The best thing about my courses is that the syllabus is very good. If the classes are held regularly then our course will improve. Event like Saraswati Puja is held in our college.
