University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The syllabus is good it is designed to get a good knowledge in the field of mathematics. Who will pursue higher studies in mathematics they benefited from this but also who are planning to switch into different field they also finds help in that.

when it comes to placements, SXC might not be the best place to start with however there has been a few exceptional cases and in the recent uears students are ending up getting good starting packages approximately 5-6L PA. From semester 5 a student may start sitting for the campus drives and attend the company visits. Mostly, upon completion of graduation students don't sit for the placements since majority of us have plans of pursuing higher education so the margin of students getting placed is a bit shaky. I personally plan to pursue MSc in Economics after completing my graduation.

I like to know about animals so I choose Zoology as main subject. Time to time survey are conducted for better understanding the subject. It would be better if our classrooms are increased in numbers Semester examination are taken between 6 months of gap. But students get about 3bto 4 month for study. Examinations are not so hard but not moderate also.

I don't think except science department and cources like computer science, biology, physics etc. there are many good cources. But when we talk about comarce it's different Who ever does b.com they have a different mind set . And about b.a I can't I see any thing special. But if you are B.a honors it's different story.

The course B.com which I opted was very good for a person who likes accounts and want to know more about the same. We get to learn a lot of valuable information which is pretty helpful in real life world as it helps us in our jobs as well because accounts these days are very important in every company and business.

I wanted to opt for banking and finance previously but there was no choice for it therefore i took accs and finance Would not like to comment on this Need more teachers who can give us practical guidance 6 month duration

Journalism and mass communication is a very nice course and has various opportunities in future, specially mass communication offers a vast field of jobs. This made me choose the subject. Also netaji nagar college was the first college under calcutta university who introduced journalism and has carried the legacy effectively

My chossing course ,just like example ba gen Bengali we have 560 students and all are properly connected with college and education system but they have many problems faced just like timing, notes, classes not given at the time

The reason i chose this course is to persue a career in finance and also to carry on my family business. Finance has always been a very highly demanding field of work because of its necessity in corporate or basically any organization.

Bachelors in commerce has always encouraged me since my early high school days. The curriculum in St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, faculty makes us well versed with the course and prepares us to face the real world. The exam timings are relatively off. Because there are two batches, morning for boys and evening that's is coed. The exams are held in the morning and is very difficult for the evening people to attend and make it through. Where as the calculation and evaluation of exam papers is very strict.
