University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

There are College Placements. A Placement Cell has been made . Companies like ICICI Bank, Wipro and TCS do come for placements but the number of employment is relatively less and the package is 8lakh per annum highest which is rare.

I have studied 11th and 12 th in commerce background after that I chose b.com because I wanted to explore more insights of commerce and accounting. B.com is very underrated degree but one who take this seriously can go far in his or her career.Final semester projects prepare you to solve real world problems.

Specific aspects of the curriculum is I love to do chemical reactions and this was my favourite subject ..this influenced me to choos this course.curriculum prepares my for real world was very well and approachable

Generally the placment of asutosh college really well also. Students from 5th semester are eligible for placement process. The placement sceniario very well in asutosh college. If we talk about our deperatment microbiology then latest 3.37 lakh approx record of placement also in computer science it also 6-7 LPA recorded, It varries every year wise.

The course circullam is mediocre. The staffs are well learned but many teachers remain absent and the course is not done thoroughly in the classes .. at the end of the day you yourself have to study making notes to pass the exams. the teaching of staffs are just an overview or rather a skeleton structure of the syllabus

This year out of 110-120 students almost 90 students got placed in reputed and good companies,the college have its own placement cell who brings companies who can hire students from the campus, companies like TCS, Deloitte,EY also came last year

Many students pursue Bcom along with some other professional courses since only a Bcom degree does not guarantee placement. However under the new ccf curriculum diverse disciplines have been incorporated into the course which increases employability.

The College curriculums are more or less good in all aspects. Although there could be more improvements in the Teaching Methods and conducting of classes. Each Semester end exams are taken within a gap of 6 months. But total classes conducted in these period is hardly 60-70 days.

I've been driven by zoology since my childhood that's why I choose zoology thus bsc with botany and anthropology because there are no more subject combination.yet the sense of excellence in our cbcs based curriculum is going down I guess because marking scheme is not so good

The courses are vast and spectacular. There are many things to learn and specially the professors are very helpful throughout the whole semesters wherever you need guidance regarding your syllabus or maybe out of that.
