Ques. Which is worth taking, BITS Hyderabad ECE or NIT Surathkal ECE?

● Top Answer By Rahul Roy on 09 Jun 21

Ans. My friend from school used to be a student of BITS and he said he’d a great college life. One thing he assured of, however, BITS does help a lot in finding out the true calling of its students no matter what course they end up selecting. The advantages promised by BITS to its students are: Better classrooms and labs among other infrastructure. A rigorous yet flexible academic course with improved teaching. As students join on merit, the quality of the students is superior. No reservation for SC/ST/OBC. You will get the opportunity to make your timetable and select your faculty. NIT Surathkal is also at the same time, falls among the top NITs. It, however, lay stress on the attendance. But the point is if you believe that your true calling is ECE, you can very much go for NIT Surathkal. It does not promise the freedom provided byBITS, though. Ques. Which course is better: CSE at BITS Hyderabad or IT at IIIT Allahabad?

● Top Answer By Richa Barua on 26 Mar 21

Ans. Ans. If you have to choose between BITS and IIITA. You should definitely go with IIIT Allahabad. At IIITA, there is no home state quota i.e. seats reserved for students of Allahabad. BITS has a no-reservation policy. Particulars BITS Hyderabad IIIT Allahabad Fees/year INR 4,23,475 INR 1,64,700 Highest Package Offered INR 40 LPA INR 43 LPA Average CTC 11 LPA 20.8 LPA Closing ranks 342 (BITSAT) 5330 (JEE Mains) Placement Percentage 94% 96% Recruiting Companies Microsoft, Google, Dell, Aditya Birla Group, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. Google, Microsoft, Paytm, Amazon, Flipkart, Infosys, Wipro, Linkedin, Zomato, Walmart Labs, Oyo, Samsung, etc. Around 25% of students have received Pre-Placement Offers from some of the top companies in the final year at BITS Hyderabad. Coding Culture IIIT Allahabad has a coding culture that is renowned and is best in class. BITS Hyderabad’s coding culture is good but lacks in some aspects as compared to IIITA. So, if you have the option to choose between CSE at BITS Hyderabad and IT at IIIT Allahabad, go with IIITA as it is better than BITS in almost all aspects.Read more

Ques. CSE BITs Hyderabad vs IIT Dhanbad?

● Top Answer By Bharti Jaiswal on 25 Feb 21

Ans. Well, before answering this question, the heartiest gratitude to all the candidates who have cracked this toughest engineering entrance in India. The main thing is that you must decide why do you want to join IIT. Is it only for the IIT tag, or you want to follow your passion? The tagline of IIT is obviously important, but it works only if you are studious towards your dream. Otherwise, it becomes worthless as well as you will ruin the reputation of these institutes, that IIT. Another important thing to be considered that if you are outstanding in CSE and gets the chance in IIT Dhanbad, then you will be to do more research, over-viewing the facts, like infrastructure and facilities of both of these institutes. However, BITs is generally better, and one of my friends was there for BITSAT 2017; the institute is really awesome. Additionally, IIT Dhanbad is the old IITs, but it is still an IIT, and it gives the student a great height regarding their future career perspectives. It is properly funded still now and will be better in next year’s. But you should not expect a better life here than BITs Hyderabad. The main thing that should always be remembered is that good institutes always lead to a confident pathway, but you have to go alone in this pathway to fulfill your passion. Thus, you must choose your branch first; after that, you can move forward.Read more

Remarks :

I mainly chose to study here because a friend of mine recommended me to study here. As i did my research i came to know more about the college and most importantly the placements it offered and the admission process. In order to study here i had to sit for an entrance test called BITS Admission Test (BITSAT). The admissions were given on the basis of this or either all India or state topper. I also had to go through a GD/PI and counselling after which i was allotted a seat. For admissions i submitted my 10+2 and graduation marksheets including my TC and character certificate, and all my other personal details. The charges for the BITSAT form is 3400 rs for male candidates and 2900 rs for female candidates.

I scored 297, in Bitsat 2015. The exam was held in May. My score was enough to clear the Chemical cutoff. We then had 4 iteration rounds to improve the branch, i.e. get a better branch based on the cutoffs. The selection is based on 1, your score 2, the cutoffs 3, The campus preference.

Remarks :

The college is amazing, it selects the best, brightest brains all over India. The college management is not the worst. But, they are prone to favoritism and seldom make changes upon being criticized for any rule implemented/change.

"Alumni review of BITS"

I mainly chose to study here because a friend of mine recommended me to study here. As i did my research i came to know more about the college and most importantly the placements it offered and the admission process. In order to study here i had to sit for an entrance test called BITS Admission Test (BITSAT). The admissions were given on the basis of this or either all India or state topper. I also had to go through a GD/PI and counselling after which i was allotted a seat. For admissions i submitted my 10+2 and graduation marksheets including my TC and character certificate, and all my other personal details. The charges for the BITSAT form is 3400 rs for male candidates and 2900 rs for fem

BITS is well known for its placement and strong alumni base. The thing which attracted me was the campus life and placement records. Talking of campus life it's the best in India. Only factor one should keep in mind is more than average fees. Taking admission on 2021 will have fee around 5 lakh per year.
