Delhi University (DU) is one of the premier universities in India and is known for its high standards in teaching and research. DU attracts eminent scholars to its faculty. Delhi University offers admission to PG courses in various specializations. There is a common registration portal for all PG courses offered by all the Faculties/Departments of Delhi University. Delhi University also offers correspondence courses at the postgraduate level through the School of Open Learning, Delhi University (SOLDU).

All the DU aspirants seeking admission to the Postgraduate (PG) Courses, excluding the courses where admission is done on the basis of CAT/GATE or any such score, are required to register online (http://www.du.ac.in). Candidates must pay INR. 750/- (INR. 300/- for SC/ST) as application fees through Netbanking, Debit/Credit card or UPI.
Age Limit: There is no age limit in Delhi University and its respective colleges for admission to PG courses.
However, the regulatory bodies, such as Medical Council of India (MCI), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), Dental Council of India (DCI), etc. have prescribed the minimum age requirement in their respective regulations.
To be eligible for admission at DU in the field of LL.M or LL.B, the candidates must;
There are two modes of admission for postgraduate courses in all the Faculties/Departments of Delhi University, except the ones offering inter-disciplinary or professional courses:
Through Merit or Direct: 50% of the total intake shall be filled by direct admission of the students of Delhi University only, on the basis of merit. Students may check Delhi University Cut Off lists to confirm their admission to the desired course.
Through Entrance: Remaining 50% of the seats shall be filled through an entrance examination and Interview/Group Discussion.
For the exact date of the Entrance Exam of individual courses, one should visit the PG admission portal. There will be a NEGATIVE MARKING for an incorrect answer. While each correct answer will be awarded FOUR marks, ONE mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
In the case of a tie in the Entrance Test marks, the following order of preference will be applied:
The above-mentioned criteria shall be followed in the case of Merit-Based admissions as well.
The entrance examination shall be conducted at the Centres located in the following cities: Bengaluru, Delhi, Jammu, Kolkata, Nagpur, and Varanasi.

The admission to Ph.D. The program will be done on the basis of merit and availability of vacancies in the preferred research area. There will be one common Entrance Test for admission to the M.Sc. and M.Sc.-Ph.D. Combined Degree Program in Biomedical Sciences.
The applicants seeking admission to the Postgraduate (PG) Courses, except for the Courses where admission is done on the basis of CAT / GATE or any such score, are required to register online.
Students can apply for the Delhi University PG Courses through online mode only. Following are the steps to submit the applications for admission to any of the courses:
Step 1: Log on to Delhi University PG Admission Portal- http://www.du.ac.in
Step 2: Create the login details by clicking on the “New User Registration” from the right sidebar.
Step 3: After complete this process, a verification email will be sent on your email account with a confirmation link.
Step 4: Now log on to the PG admission portal using “registered email-id” and created “password” to fill the online registration form.
Step 5: Upload following required documents
Step 6: After uploading the above-mentioned documents, Click on “Submit My Profile”.
Step 7: Proceed with the online registration by clicking on “Apply in New Course”.
Step 8: Fill all the required details like education details, courses to apply, admission criteria (Merit or Entrance), etc.
Step 9: Choose the exam city.
Step 10: After filling all the details, Click the “Save Application”.
There are three options available at the bottom of the page, which are: 'Click to Modify Application', 'Pay Fee' & 'My Home'
After providing complete information, you will proceed with the fee payment by clicking on ‘Pay Fee’.

The application fee can be made through Net banking, Debit/Credit Card or UPI.
Note: Your application submission process will be completed only after payment of the online registration fee. The application fee is non-refundable.
The Admit Card can be downloaded from the Delhi University’s official website. The applicants will be required to log-in by entering their form number and DOB.
The Admit Card needs to be printed on a clear A4 size sheet.
The candidate must carry the Admit Card at the time of the exam.
