Section Number of Questions Total Marks
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension4040
Quantitative Ability4040
Logical Reasoning and Data Sufficiency4040
Total120120

Key Points About KMAT 2027 Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Online, Remote Proctored CBT
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Total Questions: 120 MCQs
  • Total Marks: 120
  • Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answer, 0 for incorrect or unattempted
  • Negative Marking: None
  • Sectional Time Limit: None - you can attempt sections in any order
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with 4 options each
  • Language: English only

Since there is no negative marking, you should attempt all 120 questions. Even if you are not sure about an answer, a guess gives you a chance to score. This is one advantage KMAT has over exams like CAT and XAT, which have negative marking.

There is no sectional time limit. You can move freely between sections and manage your time the way you want. Most toppers suggest spending around 40 minutes on each section.

Mid-tier Colleges60 - 9070th - 90th percentile
