    KMAT Eligibility Criteria mandates a candidate to hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any discipline from a recognised university. The standards are defined by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA). KMAT 2020 Second drive exam will be rescheduled for October 20, 2020. CheckKMAT Syllabus 

    • Mathematics is a mandatory subject in either Class XII or at graduation level.
    • Submit the required documents to prove the eligibility for category during the counselling procedure.
    • Karnataka MAT will be conducted in offline (pen-paper) mode. Check KMAT Exam Pattern

    It is the conducting body of the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT). Through this exam, candidates can get admissions to MBA/ PGDM and MCA Programs offered at topmost B-schools in Bangalore and Karnataka. Before applying online for KMAT 2020, applicants must go through the eligibility standards.

    Detailed Karnataka MAT Eligibility

    Through KMAT Scores, candidates can get admissions to MBA/ PGDM or MCA programs offered at various colleges in Bangalore and Karnataka. The conducting body has defined minimum requisite eligibility standards that need to be satisfied to fill in the form. 

    Listed below are the standards which will indicate if they can appear for KMAT 2020:

    General Eligibility

    • The minimum age required for admissions to postgraduate program through KMAT is 21 years. There is no specific upper age limit to apply for the course
    • Candidates in their final year of Bachelor’s degree can also apply for KMAT 2020.
    • Such candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree with before the time of KMAT 2020 Admission.
    • Candidates must have secured percentage equal to or more than minimum requisite percentage as per their exam and their category.
    • In case a candidate is unable to produce necessary documents supporting their claim of completion of Bachelor’s degree, they will be removed from the process thereafter.

    Eligibility for KMAT MBA/ PGDM

    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years duration, and should have secured at least 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidate). 
    • Masters degree examination of any recognized education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, and should have secured at least 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidate).
    • Candidates in their final year of Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.

    Eligibility for KMAT MCA

    • Candidates applying for MCA Program, they should have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level or at the graduation level.
    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years duration, and should have secured at least 50% in aggregate

    KMAT Reservation Policy

    KMAT 2020 Reservation Policy is decided as per the UGC guidelines. The various KMAT 2020 Reserved categories are mentioned below:

    • Scheduled Caste (SC)
    • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
    • Other Backward Classes (OBC)
    • Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

    Note: Candidates with Low Vision/ Blindness, Hearing Impairment, and Locomotor Disability/ Cerebral Palsy can claim KMAT 2020 Reservation under Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

    KMAT Application Form 2020

    The registration window for KMAT 2020 was closed on September 30, 2020. As of now, there is no provision of form correction by KPPGCA. So, one must carefully provide all the information properly and review it before submitting.  

    • KMAT Application Form can be accessed by visiting KMAT Official Website i.e.
    • The application fee is the same for all the categories. An amount of INR 1000 is to be paid in the form of Demand Draft. No other mode of payment is available.
    • Information such as Name, contact number, and email id is required to register for KMAT 2020
    • No applications will be accepted by KPPGCA after the last date.

    Mentioned below are the steps that should be followed to register for KMAT 2020:

    Step 1: Visit KMAT Official Website 

    Step 2: Scroll down and the following tab will appear

    Step 3: Select ‘Click Here to Register Now’ tab.

    Step 4: A new page will appear, it will provide instructions related to KMAT Application Form. Go through all the instructions thoroughly so as to avoid committing mistakes while filling the online form.

    Step 5: After reading the instructions, click on ‘Register’ tab and fill all the required details.

    Step 6: After filling all the details, click on the ‘Submit’ tab. A ‘Reference Number’ will be issued at the registered mobile number and email ID.

    Step 7: Next, re-login using the reference number and DOB in order to fill the form.

    After providing these credentials, candidates will be redirected to a new window. Here, they are required to fill in the final KMAT Application Form.

    Note: Candidate registering for MBA/PGDM and MCA both will be required to register separately for each course. For each program, a separate admit card is issued. Candidates are required to present respective admit cards for KMAT 2020 exams. Candidates are advised to carry a hard copy of the completed application form to the Test Centre.

    Ans. No, you should have math as a main subject either in 12th or in graduation to get admission in KMAT 2020.

    Ques.  How many seats are reserved for OBC category?

    Ans. 27 % of the total seats are reserved for OBC category candidates.

    Ques.  What is the eligibility criteria for KMAT MBA/ PGDM?

    Ans. Candidates should have done bachelor with a minimum 50% aggregate in the exam.

    Ques. Is there any maximum age limit to appear for the test?

    Ans. Yes, Candidates age should not above than 21 years.

    • The basic eligibility to take the exam is to hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised college/ university.
