Students can easily get placed in IBS Hyderabad. Placement assistance is there for each and every student. Also for the Summer Internship Program college will support you. The average package of college for the 2020 batch is 7.5 lac.
IBS Hyderabad is really great college, it will give you lots of opportunities to showcase yourself in college feat as well as in the corporate world. The college has lots of clubs including curriculum as well as extracurricular. Clubs will give you extra benefits while entering into the corporate world.
From the 3rd semester, the placement starts. Many companies come for placement. ITC, JP Morgan, Capgemini, Wipro and other such companies come for placement. The highest package was around 50 lakh. The average package would be around 6 lakh.
For exposure and placements. It had a good infrastructure and good teachers. Overall it seemed a good opportunity. We had to go to the main campus in Hyderabad for admission. First, there was their entrance exam ibsat clearing which we had to give GD and PI. I went through various websites before selecting this college.
The campus placement is pretty good over here. We get companies from all the sectors. The highest CTC received is around 50LPA in 2020 from Tolaram Groups. The average CTC is approximately 7LPA. This year over 80% of the students were placed. The university does give its best to get the best companies for their placements.
The admission process is pretty simple and similar to the other B Schools. The process involves-
Application form- here you need to fill out your details and choose your preferred branch, choose this carefully as at the end college will try to provide you with the one that is most favoured by you.
Admission Test- to move forward in the process you got to clear the admission test. College accepts scores of CAT, GMAT, NMAT. They also conduct their own admission test which is IBSAT.
GDPI- After clearing the admission test you will receive a letter from the university inviting you for the GDPI process which is conducted in IBS HYDERABAD and this is just a one day process. Over there you got faculties who will help you through the whole process. This always takes place around Feb. A counsellor will be in contact with you from the very start of your admission process and will be present till the end of it to help you out and clear any of your doubts regarding the admission process.
Placement are good campaed to other IBS campuses. Varities of companies come. Though some startups also come. But many known companies also come.
Competition is very much among 1200 students. I believe around 85% are placed.
Good aspect is the campus itlself and students from different states come so great exposure for the students. Admission process of systematic with entrance and GDPI round.
I preferred this college because I had heard many things from my friends about this college.
Placement is decent in IBS Hyderabad. Most of the regular recruiters are banks, IT consultancies, audit firms, etc. The average placement is 7-8 lakhs. The highest package is offered by Zenoti. Every student gets placement from the campus.
The most important aspect of the college is the industry-institute Linkage and the placements. The bad aspect is that it is located at the outskirts of the city. Students need to clear the cut-off percentile. Upon clearing the cut-off percentile, students are called for GD/PI sessions.
College tries their best to place each and every student by end of the academic year and as per current stats the 93% of the students get place with an average package of 9 LPA, so college ensures everyone's employability
The admission process is done by any qualifying entrance exam via CAT, NAMAT, XAT or IBSAT. Following the result declaration selected candidates are called for GD-PI process at the Hyderabad campus.
College tries their best to place each and every student, as per out previous batch 93% of the students were placed in national and international companies. The average package offered was between 9LPA 10LPA. Companies like Amazon, TCS, Zanotti, Wipro, Infosys etc participated in the recruitment drive.
Well IBS Hyderabad has always maintained a commendable placement record. Every year almost 85%-90% of students of the MBA batch are placed in the top-rated companies. The highest package can go up to 40Lakhs per annum and the average package is around 6-7 Lakhs per annum. My experience of college placements has been extremely smooth where the placement cell manages to help the students in every way possible.
IBS Hyderabad is a very good college. They are maintaining very good placement. Their college life is also very very good. To seek admission in this college first you have to give an entrance examination that is IBSAT. After that you have to face group discussion and then personal interview
Placement is quite decent with average package ranging from 7-8 lakhs. Many companies like Cognizant, TCS, ITC, JP Morgan, IDBI, HDFC, etc are regular recruiters. Highest package is offered by Tolaram in Sales & Marketing domain.
The most important aspect of this college is the AACSB accreditation. Because of this it has received a good rank and the reach has enhanced. Admission process is quite straight forward. You need to appear for a GD/PI round after clearing the required cut-off. Apart that, merit list is declared. On the basis of the merit list, you will be allocated to various campus.
The average salary package of the current year was around 6.5 LPA. Around 85% of the students got placed from college. The highest international salary package offered was by Tolaram of 52 LPA. The highest national salary package offered was 16 LPA by Amazon. From MNCs to startups, the college offers a diverse arena of recruiters.
IBS Hyderabad is a very good college. No doubt it is the best among all IBS. It is best for its campus. You can explore a lot of things here. So for admission first you have to give an entrance examination that is IBSAT. Then you have to face group discussion and personal interview.
From the 3rd sem, one is eligible for placement interviews. There are almost 500+ companies that visit the campus every year starting from big Mnc, banks to early startup companies. There are ample opportunities for one to get placed at any particular company
The faculty is good. Overall experience was really good.It is really a good Tier2 college to opt for . Infrastructure is great. The decent package ranges from 5-7lpa. The bad aspect is overall strength or the batch size is large, so huge competition
Ques. Which college is better, IBS Hyderabad or BIMM Pune?
● Top Answer By Sounak Ghose on 31 May 21
Ans.BIMM Pune and IBS Hyderabad are very good colleges and they are very similar in terms of placements and packages offered. However, there are some important factors that make BIMM Pune a better college.
The students of BIMM Pune have 365 days working culture and this makes them very punctual and disciplined.
They also need to maintain 90% attendance to sit for campus placements and due to this, they have all their concepts clear and have more knowledge of a subject.
Their overall approach towards tasks, mental strength, stress handling capability, presentation skills were also better than IBS Hyderabad students.
I have colleagues from both BIMM and IBS and in the first appraisal cycle, people from BIMM had better appraisals. BIMM Pune is a better college because it makes its students very disciplined and determined due to its strict rules which later play an important role in shaping their career.Read more
Ques. Which is better, IBS Hyderabad or IBS Mumbai?
● Top Answer By Indrani Ganguli on 15 Apr 21
Ans.I know a few people from both institutes. Based on the reviews I got from them, I can say that IBS Hyderabad is better than IBS Mumbai. Here are some of the supporting facts about the same.
IBS Hyderabad is a renowned deemed university and thus there is a great value of the MBA degree.
The MBA program at IBS Hyderabad is a full-time on-campus two-year program. You can enjoy good campus life and take part in all the activities of various clubs and events.
The feel of doing a fully residential program inside a college campus is very exciting and helps to learn many things. It is a whole different experience.
The infrastructure of IBS Hyderabad is very better than IBS Mumbai. Even in the terms of facilities, IBS Hyderabad is very good.
Hyderabad is a beautiful city that will make you fall in love, right from the tourist place to its food and culture, everything is exciting.
If you are from outside Maharashtra, you should definitely choose IBS Hyderabad.Read more
Ques. What is your review of ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad?
● Top Answer By Falguni Ghosh on 17 Feb 21
Ans.Don’t join IBS if you are serious about MBA. If you only want to add a degree to your CV and have the financial backing to do so, you can go for it. A friend of mine appeared for IBSAT and cleared the examination without any preparation. This makes you question the credibility of the institute. In reality, the IBSAT score does not matter. If you perform decently in the GD-PI round, you will be selected.
Here are some reasons why IBS is not a good option.
IBS gives admission to almost everyone who applies for it. In the Hyderabad campus, the student intake is 1400. Which is way too much for an MBA degree.
The placement record of IBS is not great. Only a few marketing students get a salary package of 15 LPA. For others, the average CTC is around 6-7 LPA. For the HR domain, the CTC offered is around 5 LPA.
Almost every year, around 450 remains unplaced. Which is unfortunate after spending 7 lakhs on the degree.
Calculate the ROI, before you decide to join the institute. Make an estimate of how many years it will take to get back your money’s worth.
If you have work experience of over 2 years, IBS is not a good opinion. They will probably place you in a startup with a lower salary.
The faculty at the institute is average.
Do you research well, before you decide to invest your money.Read more
Ques. Which is a better choice for an MBA, IBS Hyderabad, or BIMTECH in Greater Noida?
● Top Answer By Rachit Bansal on 15 Feb 21
Ans.It must be said that both the colleges are excellent. We can compare the colleges on the basis of the salary achieved per student.
Let’s say, there is a college X that gives excellent placements in 2014. They extended the batch in 2015, but the number of companies visiting the college is still the same. The college still maintains a brand status of being a college that provides 100% placements and a high figure salary. The next year, with a little bit of effort, they managed to place the remaining students of the batch somehow or the remaining students worked out something on their own as the college wasn’t able to provide them with placement on time.
Even in this case, the institute will boast of the high average placement salary by data manipulation.
Here comes the real deal - In the next two years, suppose this highly reputed college expands its number of seats with increased intakes. But the problem still remains the same as the number of companies that come for placements don't increase proportionally. But it holds a good brand value again.
The placement situation becomes worse if the demand sinks for some reason. There are many students who struggle to secure a job and after a while get a placement on their own. The institute will proudly flaunt that on the website but you will not get the details about the student’s struggle.
The only way to guard yourself is by looking at the following for an institute.
Median salary (not the average salary)
Presence of a silly international tour
IBS Hyderabad Vs BIMTECH in Greater Noida
BIMTECH in Greater Noida
INR 7.97 LPA
INR. 8 LPA and above.

Every college can place its topper, which doesn’t require effort. The real effort lies in the college traveling the last mile to get its last student placed. Look out for such traits, talk to your seniors who are ahead of their placement, and make a wise decision.Read more
Ques. Which college is better, SIBM Hyderabad or IBS Hyderabad?
● Top Answer By Shubham Yadav on 15 Feb 21
Ans.SIBM Pune is one of the top premier institutes. It has created a big name in MBA education. But SIBM Hyderabad has not left such an impact on the education system for MBA learners.
The average package at SIBM Hyderabad is not much higher and the faculty is also not that great. The quality of education at the institute is not up to the mark. Whereas, SIIB has a strong legacy of 25 years thereby providing you a variety of courses from the famous MBA specializations like marketing and finance to niche and growing areas like energy and agribusiness.
Apart from this, the average package of this college is also good at INR 9.1 LPA and has a strong alumni connection who are placed in top positions in the industry.
The following table shows a comparison of SIBM Hyderabad and IBS Hyderabad.
INR 7.48 LPA
INR 7.97 LPA
