MDI Gurgaon Admission Dates 2027

Admissions to MDI Gurgaon’s PGDM programmes for the 2027-29 batch are anchored entirely by CAT 2026. CAT 2026 registration closed on September 15, 2026, with the exam scheduled for November 29, 2026. Shortlisted candidates are called for WAT-GD-PI-BAT at MDI’s campus and five other cities.

Executive PGDM-BM, PGDM-BA, and PGDM-PP run on a separate rolling two-round admissions calendar and accept CAT, GMAT, or XAT scores. MDI Gurgaon Courses and Fees

MDI Gurgaon’s full programme portfolio spans full-time PGDM tracks, Executive PGDM, and the doctoral FPM. All fee figures below are for the full programme duration. The domestic PGDM fee of INR 48.15 Lakhs is all-inclusive, covering tuition, hostel (double occupancy), and meals. NRI fees exclude hostel charges.

PGDM-IB is the only programme with a mandatory international immersion component - two semesters at emlyon Business School or ESCP Business School in France. The INR 94.66 Lakh domestic fee covers MDI tuition and the host-university fee. Travel and accommodation during the international module are billed separately on actual basis.

MDI Gurgaon Admission Process

All five full-time PGDM programmes at MDI Gurgaon admit exclusively through CAT. There is no direct or management quota. MDI Gurgaon’s selection adds a Behavioural Assessment Test (BAT) to the standard WAT-GD-PI format, making it distinct among top B-schools.

PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-BA, PGDM-BFSI

Eligibility: minimum 50% in Class X, Class XII, and undergraduate degree. A three-year bachelor’s degree from a recognised university is accepted. Work experience is not mandatory but is a positive factor in the final composite score.

• Stage 1: CAT 2026 score submission via the MDI online application. A common application covers all five PGDM programmes including MDI Murshidabad seats.
• Stage 2: Shortlisting based on CAT score and application profile (work experience, academic merit, diversity).
• Stage 3: WAT (Written Analysis Test), Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and Behavioural Assessment Test (BAT) at one of five centres - Bangalore, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, or Mumbai.
• Final selection: Composite of CAT score, WAT-GD-PI-BAT performance, academic merit, work experience, and social diversity.

MDI Gurgaon does not publish an official CAT cutoff. The competitive range based on prior admission cycles is typically above 90 percentile overall, with strong sectionwise performance required in all three sections (VARC, DILR, QA).

PGDM-IB

PGDM-IB has two requirements beyond the standard PGDM: a four-year bachelor’s degree (three-year degrees are not eligible) and a minimum one year of post-graduation work experience as of January 2027 (tentative cut-off date). NRI candidates may submit a valid GMAT score in place of CAT.

Executive PGDM Programmes

Executive PGDM-BM, Executive PGDM-BA, and Executive PGDM-PP require a minimum three years of post-qualification work experience. Admissions run in two rounds per year and accept CAT (last 3 years), GMAT (last 5 years), or XAT (last 3 years). Candidates with a three-year bachelor’s degree and 50% aggregate are eligible.

MDI Gurgaon Placements

MDI Gurgaon PGDM placements for the 2025 batch achieved a 100 percent placement record. A total of 555 students were placed, with 147 companies participating, including 67 new recruiters. Pre-placement offers (PPOs) stood at 148.

The highest CTC for the 2025 batch stood at INR 53.60 Lakhs. As per the 2025 placement report, the average CTC was INR 25.6 LPA. Consulting led offers at approximately 30 percent of the batch, followed by BFSI at around 25 percent. The top 10 percent of the batch secured an average of INR 40 LPA.

MDI Gurgaon’s NCR location plays a significant role in placement outcomes, particularly for Consulting and BFSI roles, where proximity to corporate headquarters translates into a higher concentration of summer internship-to-PPO conversions. Alumni from MDI hold senior positions across Indian and multinational firms, strengthening the recruiter network year on year.

MDI Gurgaon Rankings

MDI Gurgaon is the top-ranked private business school in the NIRF Management Rankings 2025, placed at #9 overall in the Management category. This is an improvement from #11 in the 2024 cycle, reflecting strengthened performance in research output, placements, and peer perception. MDI Gurgaon’s AACSB-AMBA-EQUIS triple accreditation is a global quality signal held by fewer than 100 institutions worldwide.

MDI Gurgaon Scholarships

MDI Gurgaon offers two institutional scholarship schemes for PGDM students. Both are applied at admission and do not require a separate post-admission application. Scholarship seats are limited and filled on merit at the time of the selection process.

AICTE TFW scholarship candidates must submit family income proof during the admission process. The scholarship applies to tuition only and does not cover the hostel or meals component of the programme fee. Interested candidates should apply through the AICTE portal as well as the MDI admissions form to be considered.

MDI Gurgaon Campus and Infrastructure

MDI Gurgaon operates from a residential campus in Sector 17, Gurugram, Haryana. The campus includes the main academic building, faculty residences, administrative blocks, a central library, sports facilities, and a dedicated IT and computing centre. The library holds one of the largest collections of management periodicals and case studies among Indian B-schools.

Hostel facilities cover multiple residential blocks named Chaitanya, Change Masters, Takshashila, Kshitij, Odyssey, Kaveri, Parthenon, and Nalanda, accommodating twin, triple, and four-sharing room configurations. Domestic PGDM students have hostel and meal charges bundled into the all-inclusive INR 48.15 Lakh programme fee. Gurugram’s proximity to the Delhi NCR corporate belt - within 15 km of Cyber City, DLF, and Udyog Vihar - makes the campus a natural recruitment draw for India’s largest concentration of consulting, BFSI, and technology firms.

MDI Gurgaon vs IIM Lucknow vs FMS Delhi

Aspirants shortlisting top CAT-based management programmes regularly compare MDI Gurgaon, IIM Lucknow, and FMS Delhi. All three are CAT-only institutions and represent the competitive aspirant’s natural decision set after the older IIMs (A, B, C, K, I, L).

FMS Delhi offers the most cost-competitive route to a top management degree for aspirants who can clear its high CAT cutoff. IIM Lucknow is an Institute of National Importance with an MBA degree (post-IIM Act 2017) and government backing. MDI Gurgaon leads among the three on international accreditation (triple AACSB-AMBA-EQUIS), global brand recognition, and NCR placement access. MDI’s PGDM-IB is a programme type not available at IIM Lucknow or FMS, and is the only full-time programme at MDI requiring mandatory work experience.
