B.Tech in Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) is a fusion course combining biology and other basic engineering sciences. This 4- year long course involves application of concepts and methods of biology and other sciences. The course is divided into 8 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months. In each semester, students are exposed to both theoretical subjects and practical lab sessions.

B.E./ B.Tech in Biological Engineering explores an amalgamation of topics such as engineering, technology and Biology. Eligibility for B.Tech in Biological Sciences and Bioengineering

The minimum academic qualification required to be fulfilled for appearing in JEE is a 10+2 qualification from a recognized educational Board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as the main subjects. The candidate should not be more than 25 years of age (30 years for SC/ST) as of 1st October of the year of admission.

Each institute may exercise its own minimum score criterion. Generally, the minimum eligible score lies between 40-50% marks in aggregate. The other eligibility criterion is performance in the State- level entrance examination conducted for admission to the course.
