DU JAT 2021 will be conducted by NTA on behalf of Delhi University for admission in BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies), BA (Hons), Business economics, and BBA (FIA). DU JAT 2021 will be conducted via online mode. The question paper will be containing four sections i.e. business and general awareness, reasoning and analytical ability, quantitative ability, general English. For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded whereas one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Check DU JAT 2021 Exam Pattern

After the declaration of the results, the authority can choose candidates on the basis of the marks scored by the candidate in the entrance examination. Then the selected candidates will be referred to as to look for the GD (Group Discussion) and Persona Interview) rounds conducted by the authority.

DU JAT 2021 Application Form

DU JAT 2021 Registration is expected to get started from the first week of April 2021. Applications will be filled via online mode. The application form includes the process of registration, uploading of images and fee payment

Follow the steps given below to fill the application form.

DU JAT 2019 Application Process

Part 1: Registration

  1. Visit the official website of DU LLB
  2. Click on ‘New Registration’
  3. Candidates have to fill the credentials like
  • Candidates Name
  • Date of birth
  • Email ID, etc.
  1. After filling all the credentials click on ‘submit’

Part 2: Filling Details in Application Form

Candidates have to fill the following details in the Application form

  • Personal details
  • Basic details
  • Educational details
  • Communicational details, etc.

Part 3: Uploading of Images

Candidates have to upload a recent passport size scanned photograph. Given below are the documents candidates have to upload:

  • Passport size photograph in jpg format and size should be not more than 50 kb
  • Scanned image of signature in jpg format and size should be not more than 50 kb
  • Scanned image of ID Proof in jpg format and should not exceed 100 kb
  • 10th class certificate in jpg format, size not more than 100 kb
  • Category certificate (if applicable) in jpg format. Size should not exceed 100 kb.

Part 4: Fee Payment

The application form will not be submitted without the payment of the application fee. Fee once paid will not be refunded. General category candidates have to make payment of INR 750. Relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to reserved category. SC/ST/Pw D candidates have to make payment of INR 300.

DU JAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria for DU JAT 2021 before filling the application form. If the candidates do not fulfil eligibility criteria then their candidature will be rejected.

Given below is the eligibility criteria for DU JAT 2021.

  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board
  • General category and OBC category Candidates must possess 60% marks in 10+2 or equivalent
  • Reserved category candidates must have obtained 50% marks to apply.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

DU JAT Exam Pattern

DU JAT 2021 Exam Pattern

DU JAT is conducted in computer-based mode(CBT). The question paper is of objective type i.e. MCQ based. The question paper consists of 100 questions to be attempted in a duration of 2 hours. There are 4 section in the question paper consisting of 25 questions each. The question paper will only available in the English language. For every single correct answer candidates will be awarded 3 marks. There is also a negative marking of 1/3. For every incorrect response, the candidate loose1 mark. DU JAT 2021 Exam Pattern is designed to be at the 10+2 level. 

The question paper checks a candidate’s knowledge of Quantitative Ability, General English, Business & General Awareness and Reasoning & Analytical Ability.

DU JAT 2021 Admit Card will be released in the month of May 2021. Admit cards will be available to download from the official website. Candidates must preserve their admit card for all further processes of admission. DU JAT 2021 Admit Card acts as an identity proof, entry in the examination hall will be done only through admit card.

DU JAT Answer Key

DU JAT 2021 Answer Key will be available on the official website of NTA. Candidates can check the answer sheet to match their answers to predict the marks in the entrance test. If any candidate wants to make a claim for a doubtful answer then it can be done by paying an amount of 200.00 INR per answer key. The process to challenge the answer key is mentioned below:

  • In the next window click on ‘objection’

DU JAT 2021 Results are expected to be released in the month of July 2021.

  • The merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentile secured by the candidates.
  • The colleges under Delhi University considers 65% weightage from the entrance test and 35% from class 12 result.
  • After the declaration of DU JAT result the colleges will publish their eligibility criteria and the candidates will be able to apply according to their rank/percentile.
  • In order to ensure that no student gets any advantage or disadvantage from it, Delhi University has introduced DU JAT Normalization process to calculate the scores of students.
  • The scores are obtained after normalizing the candidate's marks using the equi-marginal method i.e. Equi-percentile score= {[(Total no. of candidates in a shift) –  (score of the candidate in the shift)] / (Total no. of candidates –  1)} x 100. 
  • The rank is prepared after the final normalization process. Candidates can check and download their results by following the steps mentioned below:

DU JAT Counselling

DU JAT 2021 Counselling

Candidates who manage to clear DU JAT 2021 cut off criteria, will be called for group discussion and personal interview. The seats will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s performances and marks. There is no separate form to be filled for the counselling process.

DU JAT Cut Off

DU JAT 2021 Cut Off

DU JAT 2021 cut off will be released in the month of June 2021. The cut off will be released by the colleges for all categories separately. The eligible candidates will have to take admission within two days after the release of the first cut-off list. DU JAT will release three cut off list provided that the seats are vacant after first and second phases of admission. 

  • After the announcement of cut off marks those who will be eligible have to appear in GDPI(Group Discussion and Personal Interview) rounds conducted by the colleges.
  • In 2019 the cut off was released by DU JAT in three rounds depending upon the seats available after concluding each round.
  • The cut off marks are different for general and reserved category and the colleges also release the rank range separately for General, SC and ST candidates.
  • Last year the top colleges invited admissions for up to 155 rank(general) and 2817(OBC).

Ques. What is the minimum marks required to qualify DU JAT?

Ans: To secure a good rank in DU JAT a candidate requires a minimum of 200 marks provided that class 12 score is around 90%. 

Ques. How much marks do I require to get a rank in the range of 100-200?

Ans: DU JAT Percentile is calculated considering 65% weightage in the entrance exam and 35% weightage for the marks secured in class 12 boards. If a candidate have secured 250 marks in the entrance exam then the class 12 marks shall be above 85%. With these scores a candidate can easily get a rank of 100-200. 

Ques. Is there any policy different for a candidate who is not a native of Delhi?

Ans: DU JAT do not bifurcates on the basis of nativity. Candidate from all over the country can apply for the exam. However, in some cases the candidates who are natives of Delhi may get a relaxation of 5% in the score of qualifying exam. 

Ques. What should be the minimum rank to apply for Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies?

Ans: Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies is one of the finest college of Delhi University. The minimum rank required in DU JAT to get admission in this college is 155-160. 

Ques: Can I fill the application form for DU JAT 2021 in offline mode rather than applying online?

Ans: No, candidates are supposed to apply online only, form filling procedures must be done in online mode only.

No, It's not compulsory to have Math as subject in 12th class to appear for DU JAT entrance exam. For DU JAT, you must have a minimum qualification of Class 12 examination from any recognized board with a minimum of 60% of total marks in aggregate.
