    IIAD Entrance Exam “Design Aptitude Test ( iDAT )” is a qualifying entrance test for admission to Bachelor degree courses in Fashion Design, Interior Architecture & Design, and Communication Design, offered by Indian Institute of Art & Design, New Delhi. IIAD Entrance Exam 2020 is scheduled to be conducted on April 24 – May 10, 2020 in offline mode and April 24 – 25 in Online Mode.

    • The entrance comprises two sections, which have Objective types - multiple-choice questions, Drawing & Sketching, and Descriptive answer questions.
    • Maximum marks are 200 and marks allotted to each correct answer are distinct as per the type of the question.
    • Negative marking scheme is not applicable in IIAD Entrance Exam 2020.
    • IIAD Entrance Exam 2020 test paper will be based on 02 subjects. Each section has distinct numbers of questions.

    IIAD Entrance Exam 2020 Exam is designed to test a candidates’ imagination, creativity, presentation skills, writing skills, logical decision-making power, design, and drawing ability.

    • There are 02 sections in test paper of IIAD 2020 Entrance Exam (iDAT).
    • Section A is for logical reasoning and Section B is for Creative Thinking & Problem Solving.
    • Each Section has different numbers of questions, maximum marks for each questions, and obviously weightage also.

    • Objective type questions will carry 01 mark for right answer

    IIAD Entrance Exam 2020 - Important Instructions

    Following are the General Instructions for IIAD Entrance Exam 2020 a candidate must follow:

    • Candidates are advised to reach at examination center at least 30 minutes before commencement of IIAD Entrance Exam 2020 examination.  
    • Do not open the sealed Response Sheet and question paper before the receiving the instructions from invigilator.
    • Read instructions carefully to mark responses on Response Sheet.
    • Marks in circles for responses should be made with Blue or Black Ball Pen Ink.
    • Making changes to your responses in OMR sheet is not possible, so mark answers carefully.
    • No smudge marks or rough should be done on the question paper
    • Check pages of Question paper and Response Sheet, if there is any issue, immediately bring it to the notice of the Invigilator and get it changed.
    • Candidate will have to bring some accessories as per the requirements of the test paper:
    1. Pens / Pencils
    2. Dry Colours (Pencils / Paste)
    3. A Ruler
    4. Sketch Pen / Coloured Pen
    5. Gluestick
    6. A small pair of Scissors
    • Blank paper sheets will be provided to the candidates for creating drawings and doing rough work.
    • Answer scripts should be submitted to the invigilators after completion of scheduled time.
