JIPMER PG 2026: INI CET Counselling Round 1 Allotment Out, Eligibility and Cutoff

JIPMER PG 2026 refers to postgraduate medical admissions at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry — one of India’s premier Institutes of National Importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. • Round 2 Seat Allotment: INI CET July 2026 Round 2 seat allotment is expected on July 10, 2026, covering seats not accepted in Round 1 including those at JIPMER. In 2025, Round 2 was also released in the first week of July.
• Round 2 Acceptance and Reporting: Candidates allotted in Round 2 will need to accept and report to their allotted institute between July 11–16, 2026 (tentative, as per the AIIMS schedule).

What is JIPMER PG 2026?

JIPMER PG 2026 is the postgraduate admission process at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry. JIPMER is a central government Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, established by an Act of Parliament. It is among India’s most respected medical institutions, known for excellence in clinical training, research, and specialised patient care.

JIPMER does not hold a separate PG entrance exam. Admission to MD and MS (3-year) programmes is based on the INI CET score, while DM and M.Ch (super-specialty) seats are filled through INI SS. JIPMER PG 2026 Admit Card

The INI CET admit card is issued by AIIMS on the official examinations portal before each session. For the May 2026 session, the admit card was released on May 12–13, 2026, about 3–4 days before the exam on May 16, 2026. Candidates for this cycle have already appeared for the exam.

For the INI CET November 2026 session (January 2027 intake at JIPMER), the admit card is expected in early November 2026 — approximately 3–5 days before the exam. AIIMS does not send physical admit cards by post.
