JNUEE 2018 Result

JNUEE 2018 Result will be declared on the official website in the second week of January 2018. Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination will be announced by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) through online mode only.

  • JNUEE 2018 Result will most likely be declared by JNU within a month of its successful commencement.
  • For 2018 admissions, JNUEE will most likely be held in December 2017, instead of the usual examination time of May/June 2018
  • JNUEE 2018 Result will allow candidate to check both marks secured and rank achieved in entrance exam
  • Scorecard/Rank card will contain information regarding candidate’s application number, registration number, name, marks and All India Rank
  • JNU will also publish a merit list of candidates
  • There is no counseling round, but candidates who qualify JNUEE 2018 will be called for viva-voce (in case of some subjects)

JNUEE is a university level entrance exam conducted once every year. Examination is conducted for candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), M.Phil, P.hD. and integrated courses at JNU across 14 Schools.

Important Dates for JNUEE 2018 Result

JNUEE 2018 Result will most probably be announced by JNU in January 2018. Subsequent to declaration of result, selected candidates will be called for viva-voce (for some courses) and merit list will be published thereafter.

How to Check JNUEE 2018 Result

JNU will most likely publish JNUEE 2018 Result within a month of successfully conducting exam. Result will be available only through online mode. To download their results candidates must perform the following steps:

  • Go to JNU’s official website -
  • Under ‘Admission’ tab, click on ‘JNU Entrance Examination Results 2018-19’
  • Select Program of Study from drop down list
  • Select Field of Study from drop down list
  • Select Search Option – Either search by application number or by Registration number
  • Enter the selected option (Application number or Registration number)
  • Scorecard will appear on the screen
  • Candidate must download the scorecard/rank card
  • Take a print out for future references

Subsequent to declaration of result, qualifying candidates will receive notification for viva-voce and merit list will be thereby prepared on the basis of qualifying candidates’ performance in viva-voce

Details on Scorecard

JNUEE 2018 Scorecard will contain the following information:

  • Name of Candidate
  • Program applied for
  • Application Number
  • Registration Number
  • Total Marks Secured in JNUEE 2018

JNUEE 2018 Answer Key

Answer Key for JNUEE 2018 will be released by the conducting authority within 2-3 days of successfully conducting examination

  • Answer key will be available only through online mode.
  • Answer key will be instrumental for candidates to calculate their possible score
  • JNU will publish answer key only for papers with objective type questions and no answer key will be released for subjective questions

How to Download Answer Key

Candidates will have to perform following steps to download JNUEE 2018 Answer Key:

  • Go to JNU’s official website –
  • Click on ‘JNUEE 2018 Answer Key’ tab
  • Select the course for which exam was given
  • Answer key will appear on screen
  • Candidates can download and print answer key for the purpose of verifying their answers and calculating score

JNUEE 2018 Merit List

JNU will release two different merit lists. One will be prepared for courses that require viva-voce, while other list will be for courses that do not require viva-voce

  • Viva-voce sessions will be organized for the following courses:
  1. BA (Hons) 2nd year
  2. MA (Foreign Languages)
  3. M.Phil/P.hD
  4. Pre-Ph.D/P.hD
  5. M.Tech/P.hD
  6. MPH/Ph.D
  7. COP
  8. ADOP (Mass Media) 
  • For above mentioned courses, merit list will be prepared by adding marks secured in entrance examination and viva-voce
  • Merit lists for PG courses will be prepared on the basis of cut off list released by JNU

JNUEE 2018 Cut Off

JNUEE 2018 Cut Off will be declared by conducting authority only for PG programs. Cut off list will be declared subsequent to declaration of result

  • The list can be checked by candidates only through online mode
  • Cut off is the minimum marks required to be secured by candidates in JNUEE 2018 to get admission into PG programs at University
  • Different cutoff list will be prepared for different categories -  General, SC, ST, OBC, Physically handicap and Foreign National
  • Cutoff list will be prepared depending upon following factors:
  1. Total number of candidates appearing for examination
  2. Level of complexity of JNUEE 2018
  3. Highest and lowest marks scored by candidates
  4. Number of candidates in each category
  • Candidates will be invited to participate into admission process for PG courses on the basis of cutoff marks

JNUEE 2018 Counselling

There is no official counselling process for admission through JNUEE 2018. However, candidates will be called with following original documents at the time of admission:

  • 10th Mark sheet and certificate
  • 10+2 mark sheet and certificate
  • Graduation mark sheet and certificates (for PG courses)
  • M.Phil degree (for P.hD programs)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)

Subsequent to verification of all documents and payment of course fee, candidates will be granted admission into the course for which entrance examination was given.
