Manipal University Application Form has been released on October 5, 2019, and the last date to apply for MET is May 15 to May 31, 2020 (different – different Courses). Candidate of any age can apply as there is no age restriction to appear for MET.
Make note, the application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances. It is a computer-based test. As per the booking schedule, candidates have to login to the online test booking system to book their test slot at the center of their choice. The bookings are done on the first-come-first-serve basis and as per the availability.

The eligibility criteria for MET2020 is defined course-wise by Manipal University. A common eligibility criterion followed for all the courses is that there is no age limit for all the courses. Listed below are the most common eligibility standards for various programs:
Intermediate graduates or equivalent examination from a recognized board can register.
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English are compulsory subjects in 10+2.
A minimum 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics & anyone optional subject.
No minimum age limit is there for MET 2020.
For PG program, a minimum percentage of 45% marks as an overall cumulative percentage must be secured in the qualifying UG degree.

How to Fill MET Application Form?
The students are instructed to read the information brochure carefully before filling MET Application Form. The hard copy of the form will not be sent to the university in case the payment and form are filled online. Incomplete application forms will be rejected. There are three major steps to complete MET Registration. They are as follows:
Step 1: Filling in Basic Information
In this step, candidates have to ‘Register to Apply’. They have to fill in the following details:
Personal Details: Full Name, Gender, Email ID, DOB, Parents information etc.
Course & Category: Candidate’s category, Course, Program and Stream.
Location: Select the country, state, city and enter your pin with selecting the nationality.
Note: All the fields are mandatory. Review all the details before proceeding to the next step.
Step 2: Uploading of Photo and Signature
In this step, candidates are required to furnish the following particulars:
Education Qualification: Current Institute information, School Name, Qualifying exam, Board/ University, Year of passing etc.
Uploading of candidate’s Photograph and Signature.
Important Points related to Photo and Signature:
Recent Passport size photograph with light background (preferably white).
The size of the photograph should be minimum 35×45 mm.
The photograph should have at least 75% coverage of face & head of candidate.
Must be signed by the test taker on a white paper using a black/blue pen.
After this, applicants are required to go through the declaration thoroughly and select ‘I AGREE’ tab.
Step 3: Programs and Payment
Here, candidates are required to select the program and enter their address. With this, select the preferred mode of payment. A brief about the same are listed below:
Application Fee Payment
Application fee is INR 600 and for entrance test the fee is INR 1400.
Application fee can be paid through PayTM, Credit card/Debit card or net banking.
Payment can also be made through DD in favor of “Manipal University”, payable at Manipal or Udupi.
Students also have the option of filling out the form in offline mode. Applicants will have to download and print the application form from the official website.
Instructions for filling out the form in offline mode:
Applicants must fill the application form in their own handwriting and use black or blue ball point pen only.
Avoiding striking or overwriting. Doing so might get your application form rejected.
Fill out the MET application form in capital letters.
Make sure you write within the square box provided and also one square box will be occupied by only one letter or number. Do not write in running handwriting.
Fill out the course codes very carefully
Paste your photograph on the application form. Do not staple or pin the picture. Paste it properly; otherwise, your form might get rejected.
DD needs to be made in favor of “Manipal University” payable at either Udupi or Manipal.
Candidates paying the application fee through DD have to send the print copy of the filled application form along with DD to the following address:

Note: Applicants need to mention their course code, group code and category code of the course selected and write their name and postal address including the pin code on the other side of the envelope.
MET Slot Booking

Candidates can appear for Manipal Online Entrance Test as per the slot selected.
There will be a booking schedule, wherein, you will have to login to the online test booking system (OTBS) – www.manipalotbs.com.
Use your User ID: Your application number and OTBS password as emailed on the registered ID) to book your test slot at the centre of your choice.
The bookings are done on a first-come-first-serve basis and subject to slot availability.
A slot once booked, CANNOT be changed under any circumstances
The system will be available only if you completed the application requirements in all aspects.
If you do not receive the OTBS password well in advance, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the same.
MAHE will not be responsible for the non-receipt of the password through email if you have registered with an incorrect email id or an inactive id.
You are fully responsible for maintaining the security & confidentiality of the password.
Make note that the rescheduling request will NOT be considered under any circumstances.
Candidates booking and then missing the test will be considered as absent and will have the flexibility to book the next attempt, by making an online payment of INR 1400 through www.manipalotbs.com

Ques. Can the details enter by me in the application form be edited/ changed later?
Ans. No, you cannot make the changes once the application form is successfully submitted.
Ques. I have topped my class 12th exam. Will I get any exemption?
Ans. No, all the candidates are treated equally . There is no exemptio for you , the application fee to the entire admission process will be same for you.
Ques. What are the modes to pay the Registration fee?
Ans. You can pay the Registration fee via PayTM, Credit card/Debit card or net banking. You can also send the fees through DD in favor of “Manipal University”, payable at Manipal or Udupi.
Ques. What is the application fee?
Ans. The Application fee for General category candidates is INR 600 and the Entrance exam fee is INR 1400. For NRI/Foreign candidates the Application Fee is INR 2500.
Ques. I am 22 years of age. Can I apply for MET 2020?
Ans. Yes, you can apply for the exam. There is no age limit to appear in MET 2020 exam.
