NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 5 Lines and Angles Exercise 5.2 is provided in the pdf format in the article below. Exercise 5.2 is based on the broad concept of pairs of lines. The exercise 5.2 discusses the intersecting lines, transversals, angles made by transversals, and transverse of parallel lines.
While attempting questions from exercise 5.2 of Chapter 5 Lines and Angles, students should note that when two parallel lines are cut by a transversal:
- Each pair of corresponding angles is equal.
- Each pair of alternate interior angles are equal.
- Each pair of interior angles on the same side of the transversal are supplementary

Example From Class 7 Chapter 5 Lines and Angles
| Ques. In the figure below, l ∥ m, ∠1=550. Determine ∠5, ∠6, and ∠7. Ans. From the figure, ∠1=∠5 ……… pair of corresponding angles Therefore, ∠1=∠5=550 ∠5=∠7 ………vertically opposite angles Therefore, ∠5=∠7=550 Now, ∠6 and ∠7 are linear pair of angles. Thus, ∠6 + ∠7= 1800 ∠6 + 550=1800 Therefore, ∠6=1800 - 550 ∠6= 1250 Therefore, ∠5 =∠7 = 550 and ∠6 = 1250 |
