SLIET SET 2018 APPLICATION & REGISTRATION
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
SLIET SET 2018 Application Form will be released on the official website, www.sliet.net.in. The forms will be available from the last week of March 2018. Candidates have to fill in the relevant details in the application form and submit it by the last notified date of submission. Candidates will have to fill in the following details in the application form:
The application will not be deemed valid if candidate has not paid the application fee by the last date of fee payment as notified in the official SLIET website.
SLIET (Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology) conducts SLIET SET, an annual entrance exam for admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate and Ph.D programs.
Candidates must note that the registration for SLIET SET 2018 can only be done online and no other mode of registration would be applicable. The following dates list down the important dates that candidate needs to keep in mind while applying for SLIET SET 2018.

Candidates must note that the dates given above are tentative dates only and are subject to change by the exam conducting body. Candidates are advised to keep a check on the official SLIET SET website for any sort of notification related to change of dates or other.
SLIET defines different criteria for admission to its various courses through SILET SET. Candidates can follow the table below for a clearer understanding of the eligibility criteria of SILET SET 2018.
|ICD (Integrated Certificate Diploma) Programme||Candidates need to have a minimum qualification of class X pass through any state, central or equivalent board. Candidates must have passed in English, Mathematics and Science. Candidates who are due to appear for the exam can also apply provided they can obtain and show their pass certificate at the time of admission. For lateral entry to 2nd year of the ICD programme, candidates must have a 2 years full time ITI or equivalent 10 + 2 vocational degree in relevant trade with a minimum of 50% (45 % for reserved categories) from any government or semi government institute with 2 years of experience from any government, semi government or private industry of repute.|
|B.E (4 year degree course)||The eligibility criteria for JEE (main) will be applicable. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria given in the JEE (main) website www.jeemain.nic.in for the same.|
|B.E (Lateral entry)||Candidates who have passed a diploma course in any discipline from SLIET or from any other polytechnic institute affiliated to any State Board of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to reserved categories) are eligible for admission to corresponding B.E. programmes. Students in their final year who are appearing for the final exam can also apply.|
|M. Tech Programme||Candidates must have a valid B. Tech / B.E / B.Sc (Engg) degree from a recognized institute of repute in the corresponding branch or has passed Section ‘B’ of the Institution of Engineers (India) in corresponding branch or Grade IETE and has three years of professional experience in any reputed organization. Candidates must have scored at least 60% marks (55% for candidates belonging to reserved categories) in aggregate in the qualifying degree. Candidates must also have a valid score for admission to the M. Tech programme.|
|MBA Programme||Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree, B.Tech., B.E., B.Sc., B.Com or Graduation with Economics and Mathematics from any recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks(50% for students belong to SC/ST) or have a Master’s degree in any discipline of any recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks(50% for students belong to SC/ST).|
|M. Sc Programme||Candidates need a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of reserved categories) for admission to the M. Sc programmes. For M.Sc. (Physics), candidates need a recognized B.Sc. Degree with Physics as one of the subject. For M.Sc. (Chemistry), candidates need a recognized B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry as one of the subject. For M.Sc. (Mathematics), candidates need a recognized B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as one of the subject.|
|Ph.D Programme||Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Science / Humanities / Management with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in relevant disciplines. Candidates must note that a MCA degree is not eligible for Ph.D.in CSE.|

The detailed steps to fill out SLIET SET 2018 application form is given below:
Step 1: Candidates have to visit the official website of SLIET SET 2018 www.sliet.ac.in. After clicking on the ‘Apply’ button, candidate can start filling in the registration form.
Step 2: Candidates have to first register to create a new login id and password for himself / herself. After registration, candidates will get their login Id and password for accessing their account and filling the application form.
Step 3: After clicking on the chosen link from the New Registration panel, a new page will open for candidate to fill SLIET SET Application Form. They have to enter the following details to complete SLIET SET application:

Step 4: Candidate now has to upload his/her photograph and signature details as specified in the requirements on SLIET SET 2018 website. The size of the photograph should ideally be between 10 kb to 100 kb. The size of the signature image should ideally be between 5 kb to 10 kb. The file type of the image and signature should be in .jpg or .jpeg only.

Candidates have to upload a scanned image of his/her passport size photograph and signature as per the required specifications set by SLIET SET conducting body. The scanner resolution should ideally be set to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch) for the best results.

Step 5: This is the second last step of SLIET SET 2018 Application Form. Candidates can edit the form (in case he/she needs any changes) and go for their payment processing. The application fee can be paid either via online mode or offline mode. Bank charges will be extra over and above the application fee.
Step 6: Candidate can choose any one of these methods for the payment of application fees: Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card and E-Challan.

Candidates can pay the fees by both online (net banking / credit card / debit card) and offline (e-challan). Bank charges will be extra over and above the application fee.
Candidates can expect that it will be allowed to edit their application form for a limited period of time. However, this will be at the discretion of the exam conducting committee. It can be done by logging in with candidate’s login ID and password. Only the following information will be available to be edited:
Candidates must note that once they have paid the application fee, SLIET SET 2018 online form cannot be edited.
