Reservation of Quotas for UP BEd JEE Counselling 2026

Seat reservation in UP BEd JEE 2026 counselling follows the Uttar Pradesh Government reservation policy. Vertical reservations apply category-wise; horizontal reservations for women, PwD, ex-servicemen, and freedom fighter dependants cut across all vertical categories proportionally.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

After the choice-filling window closes, Bundelkhand University runs the allotment algorithm using your state rank, category, and locked preferences. The seat allotment result is published on the official portal on the notified date. You receive a provisional allotment letter if a seat is assigned to you. Review the allotted college carefully — you must then decide whether to confirm the seat, participate in the next round for an upgrade, or withdraw.

Step 5: Seat Confirmation and Reporting

Log in after the allotment result, confirm your seat online, and download your Provisional Allotment Confirmation Letter. Report to the allotted college within the stipulated deadline with all original documents. Failure to report by the deadline forfeits your allotted seat — it is then released to the next eligible student in the subsequent round and cannot be recovered.

How to Lock Choices for UP BEd JEE Counselling 2026 (Step-by-Step Guide)

Locking your choices is a critical and irreversible action within each round. Once the deadline passes, no further changes are permitted under any circumstances. Follow the steps below carefully during the active choice-filling window.

Step 1: Log In to the Counselling Portal

• Go to bujhansi.ac.in and click the UP BEd JEE 2026 Counselling link in the Information Corner.
• Enter your roll number, password, and captcha, then click Login.

Step 2: Navigate to Choice Filling

• On your dashboard, click "Choice Filling and Locking."

Step 3: Search and Add Colleges

• Use the search or filter options to find colleges by district, university, or subject combination.
• Click "Add" next to each college you want in your preference list.
• Verify that each added college offers your required subject combination and stream (Arts or Science).

Step 4: Review and Reorder Your List

• Use drag-and-drop or up/down arrow controls to arrange colleges in true preference order — top of the list is your first choice.
• Put government-aided and university-run colleges near the top; they carry lower annual fees and stronger statutory recognition.
• Include choices across multiple districts to avoid going unallotted if your preferred district’s seats are exhausted by higher-ranked students.
• Add at least 15–20 choices — a shorter list significantly increases the risk of no allotment even when seats are available within your rank range.

Step 5: Lock and Confirm

• Review the final list one last time — order, college names, and subject combinations.
• Click "Lock Choices" and confirm in the pop-up dialog — this action cannot be undone.
• Download the choice-locking acknowledgment slip immediately as proof.

Once confirmed, your choices are locked and cannot be changed before the allotment result is published. If you participate in a subsequent round, you begin a fresh choice-filling exercise for that round’s available seats.

Admission is refused if any mandatory original document is missing on the reporting date — there is no grace period for submitting documents later.

Note: All certificates must be originals. Photocopies not attested by a Gazetted Officer or by the issuing authority are not accepted. Students who appeared in their final graduation examination in 2026 and are awaiting results must carry their provisional mark sheet or university result printout — full confirmation of admission is given only after the final mark sheet with the required minimum percentage is submitted.

How Much Money is Needed for UP BEd JEE Counselling 2026?

UP BEd JEE 2026 counselling requires two types of payments at registration for each round: a non-refundable counselling fee and a conditionally refundable advance college fee. All payments are online only through the official portal — no demand draft, cash, or offline payment is accepted. These amounts are separate from the annual B.Ed tuition fee paid directly to your allotted college.

Non-Refundable Fees

The counselling registration fee of ₹750 is non-refundable under all circumstances — whether or not a seat is allotted, and whether or not you confirm it. This fee is charged afresh for every round you register in. Participating in three rounds means you pay ₹750 × 3 = ₹2,250 in total non-refundable fees.

Refundable Fees

The advance college fee (₹5,000 in Rounds 1 and 2) is refunded in the following situations:

• You registered and paid but no seat was allotted to you in that round.
• You were allotted a seat but did not confirm it within the confirmation deadline — the fee is returned to your registered bank account.
• You participated in Round 1, confirmed a seat, and then received an upgrade in Round 2 — the Round 1 advance fee is adjusted against the new admission.

If you withdraw after accepting a seat, the seat acceptance fee is not fully refunded. The ₹750 counselling fee is never refunded under any circumstances. In Pool Counselling, the advance institute fee of ₹51,250 is not a penalty — it is a substantial portion of the annual programme fee, adjusted against your tuition on joining. Withdrawing after accepting a Round 3 seat, however, may mean you do not recover this amount in full — check the official Pool Counselling refund policy notification before registering. Refunds are credited to the bank account registered during counselling — ensure your account number and IFSC code are entered correctly.

UP BEd JEE Round-Wise Seat Allotment 2026

Seat allotment across five rounds progressively fills all available B.Ed seats in participating institutions. Earlier rounds offer broader seat availability, lower advance fees, and the option to upgrade. Later rounds have narrower seat pools and, in Pool Counselling, a significantly higher advance fee.

Seat allotment in every round is based strictly on your state rank and the order of preferences you locked during choice filling. A lower rank number (higher merit) gives you first pick from available seats. After Round 1 allotment, you have three options: confirm the seat and exit the process, exercise the upgrade option for Round 2 while retaining your Round 1 seat as a fallback, or withdraw entirely. The upgrade option is not available after Round 3 — a seat accepted in Pool Counselling is a final admission decision.

Reporting to College After UP BEd JEE Seat Allotment

Downloading your seat allotment letter does not complete your admission. You must report in person to the allotted college within the deadline stated in the allotment letter. Late reporting — even by one day — results in automatic cancellation of the allotment, and the advance college fee is forfeited.

• Download and print your Provisional Allotment Confirmation Letter from the counselling portal before visiting the college. The letter states the exact college, your allotted subject combination, and the reporting deadline.
• Carry all original documents and self-attested photocopies as listed in the Documents Required section. Arrange them with Class 10 certificates first, followed by Class 12, graduation, and category or domicile certificates.
• Report to the college B.Ed admission counter on arrival. Present your allotment letter, all original documents, and the counselling fee receipt. The admission cell conducts physical document verification and cross-checks your rank, category, and subject combination against the allotment record.
• Pay the balance college fee — total annual programme fee minus the advance fee already deposited — directly to the college cashier or via the college’s online fee portal as per their schedule. Obtain an official college fee receipt.
• Complete college registration formalities: submit photographs, fill the college’s enrolment form, and collect your provisional admission letter, student ID, or roll number from the college. This formally completes your admission to the UP B.Ed 2026–28 programme.

Do not wait until the last day to report — college admission counters process large numbers of students near deadlines. Carry extra passport-size photographs and spare photocopies of every document to avoid delays at the verification counter. For university constituent colleges, reporting is at the university campus office; for affiliated private colleges, report directly at the college campus.

Upgrade, Freeze, or Withdraw: What Should You Do?

After each round’s allotment, you face a time-bound decision: confirm the allotted seat, participate in the next round hoping for a higher-preference college, or exit the process entirely. Unlike JoSAA (which runs formal Float, Freeze, and Slide options simultaneously), UP BEd JEE counselling uses a round-by-round confirmation model — your choice at the end of each round determines whether you hold a seat or re-enter the pool.

If you withdraw after accepting a seat, the seat acceptance fee is not fully refunded. Plan your strategy before the Round 1 allotment result — decide in advance which tier of college you would accept, and use that as your threshold for the confirm-versus-upgrade decision. Students who neither confirm nor withdraw within the deadline are treated as having forfeited their seat, and the advance fee is not refunded. Forfeiture does not automatically carry you into the next round — you must actively re-register when Round 2 or Pool Counselling opens.
