Delhi University to Conduct Mock Tests for Online Open-Book Exams; will make Students Familiar with OBE Guidelines

Delhi University has announced that it will be conducting mock tests for students of the final year between July 4 and July 8 for the upcoming online open-book exam.

Earlier, Delhi University postponed the exams by 10 days which were scheduled from July 1. The exams are now scheduled to begin on July 10.

The mock examinations will make students accustomed to online open-book exams which will make it easier for them to appear for the main exams.

The mock exams will help students to be familiar with downloading of question papers, student registration, scanning, and uploading answers. 

Furthermore, Delhi University has released a time-specific schedule for 15 mock papers for undergraduate, postgraduate, and SOL students.

On the conduct of online open-book examination, A section of MEd students has said that ‘OBE’ is discriminatory and flawed. The students also wrote a letter to the vice-chancellor of the university regarding this.

DU Online Open Book Exam Guidelines

Students are required to register themselves on the open book exam portal to receive a password which allows them to access the mock examination.

For the convenience of students, the mock tests will be conducted in three sessions which will give students a choice to appear for the exam as per their suitability.

The university has directed the students to use A4 sheets to write the answers. For uploading the answer sheets, students will have to log in to the exam portal.

After uploading the answer sheet, examinees will not be allowed to make any changes. In case of technical difficulties, students can send the PDF file of their answers sheets to the designated email address or Whatsapp number which has been provided to them.
