The conference was organized with the objective of fostering knowledge exchange and facilitating future research collaborations. Additionally, it provided a platform to forge professional relationships with researchers, academics, and practitioners.

V Vijayalakshmi from IIT Madras's Department of Management Studies expressed that the conference theme urged them to explore fresh perspectives and challenge established norms.

She mentioned that this approach opened up possibilities to push boundaries, question perceived 'truths,' and counter conventional wisdom. By critically examining default beliefs and assumptions, hidden inefficiencies, biases, and limitations hindering progress could be uncovered.

She further noted that the three days of the conference witnessed intense scholarly inquiry through competitive paper tracks, resulting in the offering of five Outstanding Paper Awards worth INR 75,000 to the deserving awardees.

M Thenmozhi, the head of the management department, conveyed that the conference was designed for the purposeful exploration of uncharted territories.

The objective was to pave the way for the emergence of entirely new and innovative ideas that were previously unimaginable. The goal was to create space for transformative and groundbreaking concepts to flourish by breaking free from default assumptions, she added.
