Ans. Yes, CUET PG 2026 is mandatory for all MA, MSc, MCA, MTech, MPH, PG Diploma, and ADOP admissions at JNU. JNU does not conduct a separate entrance test for these programmes. MBA uses CAT and PhD uses NET or GATE instead of CUET.
Ques. What are deprivation points at JNU and who qualifies?
Ans. Deprivation points are bonus marks added to a candidate’s CUET CBT score before the merit list is prepared. Women candidates receive 5 points. Kashmiri migrants receive 5 points. Defence wards (parent killed in action) receive 5 points. Candidates from rural or backward districts receive points based on their district’s development quartile. The maximum is 12 points in total. Deprivation points do NOT apply to MBA admission.
