Karnataka government has appointed four new vice-chancellors for the four Cluster Universities on November 7, 2020. The four new vice-chancellors will be heading the newly established Cluster Universities.

A circular was issued on November 7, 2020, by the Higher Education Department, which mentioned the four vice-chancellors.

These four mentioned below will be the first vice-chancellors to head to the newly established cluster universities.

Dr. L Gomathi Devi Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Bangalore University, Bengaluru Maharani Cluster University, Bengaluru
Dr. Puttaraju Principal of SJB Institute of Technology, Bengaluru Maharani Cluster University, Bengaluru
Dr. Shrinivas S Balli Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering Department in the Basaveshwar Engineering College (Autonomous), Bagalkot Nrupathunga University, Bengaluru
Dr. Harish Ramaswamy Professor in the Department of Political Science, Karnatak University, Dharwad Raichur University, Raichur

They will do the service of vice-chancellors for a tenure of four years from the date of assumption of office or until they attain the age of 67 years, whichever takes place earlier, the circular stated.
