NEET 2020: Telangana invites applications for UG Medical and Dental Courses, Check Application Link, Candidate List, Cutoff Here

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) is inviting applications for admisssion to MBBS and BDS courses in the state of Telangana through its official website: knruhs.gov.in.

Candidates who qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 and features in the candidate list of the state can apply for admission before 5 PM of November 8, 2020. An official notice has been issued in this regard, whch reads:

“Provisional Final Merit position of the applied candidates will be prepared based on NEET UG–2020 Rank and other eligibility criteria notified here under after verification of scanned original certificates. In view of COVID-19 pandemic verification of uploaded certificates is being done to determine provisional final merit list. Final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the time of admission at allotted college by admission committee.”

Data revealed by KNRUHS shows, about 50,392 NEET 2020 candidates featured in the candidate list. Additionally, the university has also released the cutoffs for each category of students.

However, KNRUHS has not issued any official statement regarding the declaration of rank list.

Telangana MBBS, BDS Admission 2020

Telangana State Ranks for NEET 2020 will be declared shortly. Candidates who receive a seat based on NEET 2020 cutoff will be eligible to feature in the candidate list issued by KNRUHS. KNRUHS prepares Telangana State Ranks based on NEET 2020 result. 

Candidates have to pay a non-refundable registration and verification fee for applying in UG Medical and Dental Courses. For example, OC and BC category students have to pay INR 3500 whereas SC/ST candidates have to pay INR 2900.

Candidates have to register online and also upload their scanned documents from (8 AM) November 1- November 8, 2020 (till 5 PM) on the official website.

KNRUHS to declare TS NEET 2020 Rank List for 85% Quota 

State rank list based on NEET 2020 will be prepared for state, management and NRI quota. The rank list will feature names of candidates 85% seats for state quota. However, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will fill the leftover 15% seats for All India Quota.

Telangana State NEET 2020: How to Check Rank List?

Follow the steps mentioned below to check rank list:

1. Visit the official website: knruhs.in
2. Click the Telangana State NEET 2020 Rank List.
3. As the list appears on the screen in PDF format, press Ctrl+F and search Name or Registration Number.
4. Download the rank list for future reference. 

NEET 2020: Tie-Breaking Criteria for MBBS Admission in Telangana 

When candidates secure similar NEET scores, then the authority follows this tie-breaking criteria:

• Criteria 1: Candidates who scored high marks in Biology are preferred first.
• Criteria 2: If tie continues, candidates who scored highest in Chemistry will be preferred.
• Criteria 3: Candidates with less incorrect responses will be preferred.
• Criteria 4: At last, candidates with higher on the age group are preferred.
