Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is according to ktu syllabus.Cet provides honours degree for students having no backpapers and cgpa above 8.The honours program include 4 extra papers.The four year course curriculum not only includes core engineering subjects,it also includes,basic programming,economics, management,design project etc

Placement Experience

Placement rate of cet is the highest among any engineering college in Kerala.The course which I am studying that is applied electronics have a placement rate about 90%.About 50 out of 69 were placed.The minimum placement is for 3.4L/annum

College Events

Cet is all about it's technical and cultural events.Dristhi the technical fest of cet is one of the best tech fest in South india.cultural fest of cet called dhwani.Not only drishti and dhwani every department have it's own cultural and technical fests

Fee Structure And Facilities

Cet is a non profitable government institute.The fees is less than 10000 per annum for general students.for students having egrantz scholarship fees is nill.The only fees they have to pay is the exam fees

Fees and Financial Aid

The are many good scholarships for students such as egrantz and MCM.for students having egrantz fees is nill and the admission fees they pay at college will return back to students account at the third year

Campus Life

Cet provides all sort of opportunities to students to show their talent.Their is both indoor and outdoor stadium and additional basketball and volleyball court.Talking about the lab facility,cet provides high quality lab facility

Hostel Facilities

No I am a dayscholar.The college provides hostal facility for boys and girls.The men's hostel of cet has very good infrastructure and recreational facility like playground.Cet have a newly renovated ladies hostel with all modern facilities

Alumni/Alumna

Alumnis of cet ranges from scientist to civilservice officers.Funding of the techfests in cet mainly comes from the companies of cets alumnis.Alumnis network of cet is broad and their services to the college is invaluable

Admission

The admission procedure to the college is through keam for btech and based on gate score for mtech.The cutoff for my course applied electronics and instrumentation is around 4500under general category.My keam rank was 2429

Faculty

Highly qualified faculty who are experts in their subject are the speciality of CET.Most of the faculty members have phds from IITs and NITS. The faculty members have teaching experience more than 30 years

Placement Experience:

Placement are provided for final year students. Many companies visited the campus like TCS, Microsoft, L & T etc. The average packege offered is about 100000 to 15000 per year. However the percentage of students placed is relatively low, about 50 %

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are good. As I understand each students get minimum 20 company interview chances. students are placeed in TCS, Johson & Johson, eependorf, cipla, infosys etc. i think some where around 50000 per month was the highest. lowest is 15 k i believe.

M.Tech in IIST: My review

Placement Experience:

I wanted to continue my research work and that is why I did not take part in the final placement process. The highest salary package offered was Rs.11 LPA and the average salary of Rs.6 LPA. Acsia technologies, Aadyah aerospace, Antrix corporation, COMSOL-India, HCL, Infosys, Intel, and zentron were some of the top organizations recruited in our final placement program.

IIT Palakkad performs admirably under the direction of IIT Madras, and the college's placement record is as impressive. The college achieves a placement rate of 100 percent. The placement committee at the college is so dedicated that they are able to not only attract good firms but also assist us during the placement stages. Our batch's maximum package was 35 LPA, while the average package was roughly 15 LPA. During the placement drive, companies such as Google, Arista Network, TCS Research, McKinsey, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, and Microsoft visited the campus.

In a very short period of time the college us able to match the standards of IIT. Few of my batchmates received pre-placement offers during the college internship program. The college was able to provide the highest package of around 30 LPA and the average package was 11 LPA. Arista Network, Google, TCS Research, Mckinsey, Honeywell, Texas instruments and Larson and Toubro were the top recruiters. Almost more than 65+ companies participated in the college placement drive.

College management is efficient. But the office staff is irresponsible. We have to give our certificates before admission, but they will store the certificates as a irrelevant piece of paper. We got our certificates back as folded and dirty.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
