Remarks
Positve-college is really good for the marine knowledge and they have best professional teachers for that and obviously they have very best simulator. Negative- As new and new colleges are opening ,the quiet and peaceful environment is lost somewhere. Placements are not good at this very point of time
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is as per the Directorate General of Shipping. All the required things are provided here which are essential for an onboard job. The exam will be of 100 marks out of which 30 marks for mid-term,60 for end-term and 10 for continuous assessment.
Placement Experience
As the recession is going in the maritime field,the placements are at the lowest of all time. Placement cell incharge is trying to get companies in. Companies do come in the college for recruitment and your performance in the interview will give you placement.
College Events
Independence day, Republic day, Teacher's day, World maritime day, National maritime day, Vishwanath sports meet, Intercampus sports event, House sports events, World peace day, And many more things like persona fest etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is quite expensive and it is about 13 lakhs.It includes all the things like tution fee,hostel fee, development fee, laundry fee,mess charges, insurance fee, university fee,dg shipping fee etc.It also includes a uniform fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
As the college is affiliated to the directorate general of shipping ,so anyone can get easy loan.The college also provides low income scholarship,12th basis scholarships,girl cadet scholarships etc.The girls who pass the whole course with out any back log will be returned 50% of the fee.
Campus Life
Extracurricular facilities are really good. There is entire sports complex for many sports like badminton,table tennis,chess, carrom, volleyball, football, cricket,lawn tennis. There is a Olympic size swimming pool too. Gymnasium is also there
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is very neat and tidy. Infrastructure of the hostel is really good.The hostel have recreation rooms where u can play table tennis,watch television etc. The hostel does not have wifi.Any broken things are repaired as soon as possible.
Alumni/Alumna
Of course, the alumni network is good. As this university is new so they are trying to keep us all connected. They also started a program related to that. The alumni fee is 1500 to the best of my knowledge.There are various colleges along with us also.
Admission
Firstly I gave exam of imu cet and then I went to college because it was the minimum criteria. Then I had an interview along with a physical test and psychometric test.Then I got admission in btech marine engineering.
Faculty
College faculty is really good. Laboratories are well equipped. Instructors are good. Their knowledge about the industry is really good. There also share their experiences and incidents happened with them.
