Remarks

This is a very strict college about academics but they assure more than 100% placement offers for students. In CSE most of the student has more than one job and at the same time ECE and IT are also doing a great job.

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses of 4 years. First ear is mainly basic things and the syllabus is same for all streams. Then from second year the syllabus is different for every stream. Each year 2 semesters happen. Besides semester every student must have to attend two internals One Lab internal and one lab semester exam.

Placement Experience

The best thing about academy of technology is that they provide great placement for all the students. Placement for CSE and IT and ECE streams. Most of the students get more than 2 jobs. The college ensure that every student must have at least one job.

College Events

There are many events which are celebrated in this college like techfest in March or April. They also organize sports meet in March. Besides there are also main events which the college organizes outside the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

According to the Makaut fee structure in this study every student nearly has to pay 3.6 lacs. That is 40000 41000 42000 43,000 respectively twice each year. there also some training fees for English training and communication skills for that a student has to pay 10000 each year for 3 years.

Fees and Financial Aid

In which stream of every year there are 5% seats reserved for the economically backward students. It is called tfw quota. besides there are many other scholarship plans but I don't know much about them.

Campus Life

The college organizes techfest on March or April. besides that there are many events that are executed by the college like a KPIT projects, innovative project submission. The labs are very clean and good but the equipments are not so good those need to be changed.

Hostel Facilities

There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are very clean and and clear. The food quality is not so good but the coastal provides Wi-Fi connection for 12 hours a day and there is a TV for all students.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

This college has a great network of alimony and senior students. They are very helpful. Every year on the cultural event they do come to visit the college and also give positive opinion about the college.

Admission

I gave WBJEE and my rank was 12022. Then by counselling I got CSE in the college. Anyone can also get admitted in this college by giving JEE main exam and then you don't need to have a very good rank.

Faculty is very good. They are very hardworking and they always try to cover the whole syllabus and at the same time they are very helpful towards students. The lab attendance also help and they try to help as much as possible to make us understand.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

My experience about techno

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

The College Life in Burdwan

Likes

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Experienced Faculty-students often appreciate a good blend of practical and theoretical knowledge.Faculty members in some department are often known for thier excelence knowledge and experience
Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved
Placement-techno india university does prepares thier students for placement they only give them the opportunity

Placement Experience:

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Likes

The faculties are very good and very active. They are always ready to help
Campus is very beautiful and nice. Campus may be a little bit smaller but it is beautiful.
Environment is very good. And have a natural's beauty

Location is a thing which may difficult to find out.
Number of faculties are small quantity due to the college is newly established
Because of the college is new so therefore not huge like any NIT or IIT

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There many service based companies visited like TCS ,Cognizant, wipro, Infosys. Almost 60-70% student placed in on campus. Highest package offered by TCS 9-10lpa and Cognizant 6-7lpa wipro 6-7lpa infosys 10lpa etc. 60-70% student getting placement I will go for placement

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More

Academy of technology Reality check

I got this this from WBJEE , i wrote this exam and I score rank under 12 k in which our college has cutoff of 20k. I applied for the councelling of WBJEE and got selected in first round .
