Remarks

Overall my experience in the college till time is good. College has done a lot in improving us as a person as well as an engineer. Most of the people here are supportive here. One can learn a lot from their colleagues and peers. There are some things which can be improved which we think will get improved in the upcoming years.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is well oriented. Right from the starting of the college one gets to study variety of subjects. In first year, there are general subjects and some stream related subjects. One also gets hands on experience in labs and workshops as well. Remaining year's subjects are more stream oriented.

Placement Experience

4

In the past few years, the placement trends have improved a lot. The highest package offered was ?42 lacs in the 2018-19 session. Circuital students get more opportunities and higher salaries when compared to non-circuital students, which is a general trend in the colleges. Yes, our college provides internship as well. The stipends range from as high as ??1.9 lakhs (gross) per month to ?8000. The average stipend lies around ?25,000 per month.

College Events

4.5

The biggest and most awaited event is the Pecfest. It is one of the largest cultural cum technical fest in North India. It has footfall of around 30,000 each year. Various cultural and technical events go on during the fest days. Mega shows are enjoyed by a huge audience. Other events occurring in the college are Sports Meet and Reconnaissance (Civil Technical Fest).

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is feasible for most of the students in the college. The fees per semester varies from ?70,000 to ?55,000 per semester depending upon your year. Fees hikes almost around ?5000 each year. Hostel fees is around ?60,000-?70,000 per annum excluding monthly mess charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides various scholarship schemes to the students. There is no loan facility provided yet. Scholarship is offered to the meritorious students, females, Economically weaker sections students, SC, ST and other reserved categories. Several central scholarship schemes can also be availed.

Campus Life

3.5

There are various extracurricular activities happening in the college. Our college various technical societies as well as cultural clubs. The keep on organising cultural and technical events round the year. Various labs and workshops are there in college which are used by students and research scholars. A Centre of Excellence is going to establishished in few months with MoU with Siemens at the cost of ?150 crores.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a large alumni community network existing world wide. Each year an alumni meet is held in the college. Alumni continuously contribute to the college by donating machines and other equipment to the college. Seniors in the college are also readily available for any kind of help.

Admission

The only way to get admission in this college is JEE Mains. For NRI students, the admission is through DASA quota. Based upon your rank you can get your stream. For cut off you can refer to www.josaa.nic.in.

Faculty

4

We have a diverse set of faculty here in our college, ranging from youths to old and experienced faculty members. One can observe that many of the faculty are the alumni of this college. Faculty supports the students in every area of academics and projects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read
