My College

Good teaching is one of the attractive things in this College except a few teachers. Management behaviour to students is not fully acceptable especially to students from outer states. Unwanted expenses may happen such as seperate books for writing internals and retest.

I was studied mechanical engineering there.but in first year every student should study common subject apart from their core subjects. by entering 2nd year students start studying their core branch subjects. Mainly in each sem contains 6 theory papers and 2 practical labs,it may vary by according to some semester or branch.the curriculum is little tuff for an average student. If you are an average or below average student you must need to start your studies long before exams. exam structure is also little difficult to manage for an average student most of the theory exam is conducted in a short time of period, the gap between the exams will comparitively less.

The placement and job opportunities are increasing year by year. Almost all students from the computer science and electrical got placement in different companies. A huge number of companies visiting the College every year. But the job opportunities for mechanical and civil students is very poor comparing with other branches. And this College providing internship for computer science students only that is also during the sem break.

Alvas Nudisri- one of the biggest events in the mangalore region. Alvas traditional day- one of the attracting event of the college. Motorig- an event done by mechanical department of the College one of the best events i haver seen.

The fee for students who got good marks in entrance and plus two is very feasible. But the students who got admission through management seat or NRI seat, they need to pay a good amount of money for each year

Alvas institute of engineering college provides plenty of scholarships for students especially who performed well in sports field or having a good academic performance. If a student got any achievement in science field or done any creative innovation the college will provide their full support by giving scholarship or further helps.

The college encourage extracurricular activities in a good way. For instance,film festival is one of the attractive event which is happening every year. And alvas College is the best in that region in case of sports achievements. they have good facilities for coaching students like synthetic track, football ground and so on. And the College have all kind of lab with fully equipped with modern tools. And also there is a innovation lab for students who are really intrested to do some innovative works.

I stayed in hostel for 4 years during my course time. The facilities were excellent, 24 hour water,electricity,wifi is available. But the food was repeating and it not acceptable for every students especially who comes apart from the states.

Alumini network and senior students are really helpfull we can contact them at ay anytime they are ready for any help. And there experience and advises is very helpful for current students. Most of the senior students are well connected with the College.

I got my admission thrrough management seat. I did not attend any kind of entrance exam.so it was the only way to get admission. I submitted my 10th and plus two original marks carsds for admission process and after some other paperworks should need to do for complete the procedure.

Most of the faculty's are friendly in nature and helpful to students.but some of the faculty's are not good in behaviour and also not having an enough knowledge about their own subjects. English language skills of some faculty's are very poor. Some of them uses native language in between the classes.overall it is okey situation for an average student.
