Remarks

Everything is good here as we have cultural diversity as students from all around the country come here to study. It's a nice place to do your undergraduate. Negative remarks would be that some housekeeping staff only speak Tamil so many of us can't communicate with them properly.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is really good as we have continuous assessment learning. We have for a course 3 assignments, 2 internals where one is an open book test and 1 final assessment test. Also, we might have lab or project components depending on the type of courses or even both project+lab+theory. This makes the number of credits for the course differ.

Placement Experience

4

The placements here are very good as all the MNCs visit our college and at the end of the season, everyone gets placed as our Placement officers do their job well. In the last year 2019, we had around 85% of students placed.

College Events

4

We have many events conducted mainly the country famous Rivera where different types of events ranging from technical, fun music, etc. We have volunteers from different schools organizing technical workshops to make students learn new things in a fun environment and at the end of it, we always have a popular music artist to end the event on a positive note as everyone enjoys music and dance.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is neither feasible nor expensive. It's somewhere in between. For BTech, fees could range from 6.4L, 6.4l being the minimum which I pay for Depending on the rank, the fee can go as high as 14L. This fee I've mentioned is for the whole course duration.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships can be availed by those whose VITEEE rank is less than 10000. They get a scholarship of around 50k per year unless they don't fail any course or get any backlogs as there are some terms and conditions as one needs to have consistent academics.

Campus Life

4

We have pretty good extracurricular activities fully kitted labs and good sports facilities. We have at least one tournament in a month with other colleges and we regularly train to improve ourselves and we have decent coaches. And all sports are entertained here.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is decent enough and is regularly cleaned by the housekeeping staff. It would rate my accomodation experience a 4/5. We have all the facilities here like hot water, night canteen, washing machine, RO water, Iron box, gym, etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Our alumni network is really helpful and responds to our needs. The senior students are really helpful and we don't have any ragging here as it's banned. We ask them for advice in studies on how to sit for interviews and all. The bottom line is the senior students are always ready to help their fellow juniors.

Admission

I wrote the entrance exam called VITEE. It had a similar pattern to JEE mains but was easier. Then the rank was announced and according to the rank we were called for admission counseling at the VIT campus. Then we had to wait for our ranks as it was merit-based and when we had our chance one had to pick his/her preferred branch and course.

Faculty

3.5

Our faculty ratio is really good and most of them are graduated from IITs and NITs and have their Ph.D. Everyone here is research-oriented and wants the students to do something novel always. We have here the liberty to choose what course we want to study and which faculty to choose so we could choose the faculty who teaches very well to the faculty who's very lenient.
