Remarks
Our college has a wonderful atmosphere to learn and grow as a good human being. It is situated in a good neighborhood with important institutions like IISc, BEL, BHEL, ISRO, CPRI in close proximity to our campus which promotes and gives us huge opportunities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty good, it gets updated every year. Our exam structure is divided into two components mainly, the internal components which carry 50 marks, and the semester-end exam which carries 50 marks. The internal component has 3 tests of 30 marks out of which the average of the best of two tests is taken. The rest 20 marks have components the faculty decides to take like quizzes, presentations, simulations, assignments, online courses. The semester-end exam is of 100 marks which are scaled down to 50 marks and we have an absolute CGPA system.
Placement Experience
The placements in our college are pretty good when it comes to software and IT companies. Almost all the good companies come to our college with really good packages. Our college has research internships in which students can work with faculty members and publish research papers.
College Events
Our college has mainly two cultural and many technical fests. The cultural fests are organized very well. The technical fests are organized separately by the respective departments. The most important cultural fest in the odd semester is the Kannada Rajyotsava and in the even semester is Udbhav.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible, it's 65k for CET or state students and 183k for COMEDK or outside Karnataka students. The fees cover almost everything and we do not have to pay anything extra during the academic year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college has many scholarship facilities and loan facilities with Vijaya Bank. This includes scholarships for students with low-income backgrounds, for students with parents in Armed Forces. The loan facility is quite good as it does not charge any interest till 6 years i.e. four years to complete the degree and two years extra to earn or save money.
Campus Life
Our extracurricular activities are pretty good. We have a drama, debate, singing society and fashion team. We have student groups that participate in various national and international competitions. Our labs are equipped with good apparatus. Students are provided sports scholarship if they perform really well in their sports events.
Alumni/Alumna
Our alumni network and senior students were really helpful and helped us whenever we had any difficulties, be it academic or any other issues they always helped us out. The alumni network also helps us while organizing the fests.
Admission
I had written a national level exam called COMEDK which is conducted for outside Karnataka students to get admission into colleges in Karnataka. By the rank I got in COMEDK, there was a counseling process where I could choose which college and which branch I wanted to opt.
Faculty
They are pretty good and have the good subject knowledge, they are interested in research and have published many good research papers. Many faculties in our college have their own patents or have applied for some patent. Nearly all faculties have or are pursuing their Ph.D. degrees.
