Remarks

My college is very good about curricular and extra-curricular activities. It is known for its cultural activities in Pune, Only one thing, that I felt, should be improved is promoting students for internship and allowing them to invest their more time in the practical aspect of education. Otherwise, college is nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum for my batch was according to SPPU- Savitribai Phule Pune University. It was quite good, numerical-based subjects were quite interesting, sometimes tougher than expected, but theoretical subjects and practicals had scope for updating. Exam structure was a semester pattern. Now MITCOE, MITAOE, and MIT are merged together and formed into MIT peace university, it's autonomous and follows a trimester pattern, I hope standards of education are improved after the college has become autonomous.

Placement Experience

4

Placement opportunities are the best in Pune after COEP and VIT. The majority of the students get placed at the end of last year, I, instead, was interested in preparing for the gate so I did not participate in the placement process that much. Placement opportunities for CS are better than any other branch. Internship opportunities are less as compared to Job opportunities.

College Events

2.5

In terms of the event, I can assure you that my college is one of the best engineering colleges. There are many events throughout the year. There is an annual gathering, Aarohan fest, Spandan fest, Tesla the technical fest, Summit sports event, these all events are organized by students. Every year the National teacher's congress is organized in college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For my batch, it was around 1 lac per year, now for MIT peace university, it is around 3 lac per annum. According to my, this fee structure is very expensive. All other private colleges in Pune provide the same degree and good placement opportunities and 1/3rd fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facilities were available for all the national banks. I did not avail of the loan facility but many of my friends took advantage of the education loans. Cast-category scholarships were applicable according to government norms.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs were good in infrastructure and quality, Internet speed was considerably good, and was available for students in college time. Practical labs were also good and well equipped. Sports facilities were quite remarkable cricket, football, basketball, badminton, etc. were promoted by college, for intercollege competitions and Summit.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I had been in a college hostel in the first year of my graduation. The Interior was okay and the facilities were good but in-time was unfair it was 10 PM. Water coolers were very good and effective. Geyser was available for hot water. Games were made available. Dining was not up to the mark. Hostel and mess both are more expensive and provides less privacy.

Alumni/Alumna

Fortunately, I was in a cultural team of college in the first two years, so I got an opportunity to interact with seniors, many seniors alumni of college visits college during the preparation of Purushottam and Firodiya Karandak, They are very helpful and inspiring.

Admission

I appeared for JEE Mains in my 12th standard, in the year 2015 and scored 113/360. My HSC board score for the PCM group was 243/300. So on the basis of these scores by taking percentiles, I applied for Cap rounds of DTE and in the first cap round, MITCOE- BE-Mechanical was allocated to me.

Faculty

3.5

The college faculty was very knowledgeable. Some of them were strict but quite supportive. Overall faculty was supportive and better as compared to other private colleges in Pune(as far as I heard from friends from another college).

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
