Remarks
Ramaiah is a really good place if you know what you want to do in your life. It gives you all the facilities be it in any field either related to academics or any other. The lectures won't force you to do anything but if you are interested they will definitely help.
Course Curriculum Overview
The courses offered are good. They are exact for the need of the industries. The syllabus is updated according to the required criteria of the society. The whole marking scheme is divided into two parts. 50% of our SGPA is from the average of two internals and other quiz and component tests conducted during the semester. The rest 50% is of the final exam we write for 100 marks reduced to 50.
Placement Experience
Our college currently has more than 90% placements as per our college analysis. Placements in CS n IS departments is really good almost 100%. The rest of the branches also have an opportunity to get in core. More than 300 companies visit our college for placements.
College Events
There are main two events one in even semester and the other in odd semester. We have kannada rajyotsava in the even semester and udbhav in the odd semester. Both are quite good events. There a lot of other events conducted by other clubs in the college. Clubs like National service scheme, entrepreneurship development cell, aavishkaar also conduct many events which we can participate in.
Fee Structure And Facilities
We need to pay 25 thousand per year as our college fees excluding our cet or comed-k fees. This will include our library fees, tuition fees and almost everything including the wifi access. We need to pay 1400 rupees extra for the final exams. This fees structure is affordable.
Fees and Financial Aid
College offers a lot of scholarships for students. Scholarships can be applied with the help of college AISHE code. i have so far not applied for any scholarship. But my friends who had applied got few of them.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are the best part of ramaiah. There are a lots of clubs one can join according to thier interest.There is sports club, nature club, fashion team, dance groups, bands, debate society, quiz club and so on. We can also initiate a club of our own interest. But one drawback is that some of the main dance groups have auditions to get it which will be pretty hard.
Hostel Facilities
I have opted a hostel which is under ramaiah management. The infrastructure is really good and the rooms are spacious and well designed. The food is the worst part. The fees is very expensive. The facilities provided are not worthy for the amount we pay.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni of ramaiah has many well known people. They have a meet once in a year. They are supporting the current students by helping them in getting jobs and internships. They also come to some events and interact with the current students.
Admission
We have an entrance exam called karnataka-cet. We will be assigned colleges based on our ranks in this exam. I got ISE in ramaiah college according to my rank. Then i got a letter from kae.kar.nic which helped me to get through admission in ramaiah college
Faculty
Our college faculties are skilled except very few of them who are clueless about what they are teaching. But most of them are very experienced in thier respective fields. We can approach any of them of any of our interest like building our on projects. They are ready to guide us in various inter- college competitions.
