Remarks

Positives - Amazing place for Engineering. Great placements. You'll make amazing friends for life. Clubs and chapters will boost your confidence to another level. Negatives - you might get lost in the crowd. Too many people to keep track of. Hostel rules for girls is very strict. It's annoying.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum was more practical than theoretical. It was called CAL. We had to do projects for every subject we had, almost. Exams were held every month and the final exams were pretty tough and had a lot of questions from GATE. The level of education was on the harder side.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are wonderful in VIT. Everyone who sits for placements definitely gets placed and VIT makes sure only quality companies come for placements and that all students get paid well. I got placed for a 30k stipend and a 6lpa job.

College Events

5

Gravitas a tech event where all the chapters of the college bring out their technical expertise in making the world a better place according to the theme every year. Riviera, a cultural event. The grandest fest I've ever seen in any college. Big celebrities come along and it's a good fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure depends on your VITEEE rank and your date of counseling. It ranges from 4 lakhs per year to 7 lakhs per year. It can be expensive overall for 4 years. However, there is a star student program which gives free education to district toppers.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are 2 scholarship schemes, one for the underprivileged students who are toppers. It's called the stat student scheme. Another is after admission is obtained which the chancellor dedicated to his wife.

Campus Life

5

They have good facilities for sports and extracurricular activities. There are several clubs and chapters for the same. Dance club, music club, sports club, etc are some to name a few out of a lot of things available

Alumni/Alumna

They have an alumni association. They organize several events. They have strong connections as well. They make sure to send a mail to everyone to let them know about the alumni meet that happens every year.

Admission

A written test called VITEEE which comprises of Physics, Chemistry and Math questions of CBSE 11&12 syllabus. It has no negative marking. Approximately 1 lakh students were shortlisted and attended the counseling after which I chose ECE as a course.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties are well educated and are helpful when you approach them. They're strict with attendance most of the time and set the toughest question papers ever. And they don't give grace marks in exams no matter what. They are mostly PHDs or Masters.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
