Now there is no campusing from here, but previously happened but many years ago.But after completing study there is a quite bit of job opportunity you can go various path academic line job is easy after completing study here but sadfully now there is very very few jobs in academic line in our State but over all country it is not bad at all

College Events

3.5

Visva Bharati is central university. So all national festival are celebrated.Butsome special events are also there when Ghandhi ji first come here that day was celebrated as'Ghandi Jayanti'.In Tagore's culture we follow no idol worship in here so here saraswati puja celebrated as'Shree Panchami' In Winter 3rd week of December here haapen also a big event'Pous Mela' actually a worship of nature but also Visva Bharati organize a World Famous 'Pous Mela' of Santiniketon.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a central university so fees are exceptionally low but from 2019 fees are little bit higher because of UGC said us to increase our that's why fees are enlarged double. Butover all the fees are not large here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Visva Bharati also gave scholarship to those students who are very poor but bright.so students whose 1st sem score is over 60% can apply Visva Bharati's own scholarship program. But here is one condition he or she must not having any other schollership from any where

Campus Life

3.5

Many national inter national seminar organized here.Yearly dept wise sports completion held in cricket, football, badminton etc.Every 5or 6 years Reunion happes.Have some workshop activity also fir post graduates.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are exceptionally helpful in every way.Theygave very vital information , overview etc and any things. Had a great alumni network in all over the world. They are working in many fields of science, art and agriculture.

Admission

In UG admission it is based on hs number , admission Will done by this number based merit list over 500.And the whole process is online after submission of all documents, fees one have to present with his original documents to verification. Same for PG only difference is that in that case an entrance exam happen and merit list made from that test.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
