Remarks

everything is good in this college, except the number of students who study here. It seems more like a poultry farm than a college with so many students crammed in a single place. With many unrequired strict rules and regulations, they maintain the decorum. They even take fines for cutting cakes in rooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

They have a definite course curriculum for each subject. They allow student's approach by giving assignments, projects and conducting quizes. Through these methods they evaluate the results. The exam structure is simple. 60 marks internals 40 marks final exams. 60 marks- 2 Continuous assessments (30marks)+ digital assignments/quizzes.(30marks) 40 marks - final exam of 100 marks which is converted to 40.

Placement Experience

3

the college gives a lots of opportunity through various hackathons and makethons. Internship has been made compulsory and is a part of the 4 year curriculam for a 4 year UG program. Yes, it provides internships.

College Events

2

Gravitas(techinal event for 3 days during september). Lots of clubs and chapters conduct workshop where students participate and get to gain some knowledge in technical aspects. Riviera(cultural event for 3-4 days during february). Its basically a fun event where there is a lots of games, go carting and concert.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes, its expensive, the number of students in a particular branch are catagorised. Better rankers get placed in a better (1st,2nd)category while the others in(3rd,4the,5th)lower category. The difference in the category is only the fee structure. Better category have to give lower fees. While the others have to give higher. The difference in fees is around 1 lakh from each category to another.(1st to 2nd category fee difference is 1 lakh, 2nd and 3rd is one lakh, 1st and 3rd will be 2 lakhs around).

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are given to students with extremely good ranks(1-100ranks). scholarships are also given to students who have ranked in their repective state exams in class 12. There is a bank which provides loan services to students.

Campus Life

4

labs are very well mantained in this university. There are several lab assistants which are employed to take care of the labs.there are several labs in this university that a normal student cant even imagine of several hackathons and makeathons are done where students actively participate.

Hostel Facilities

4

They provide a fascilities like airconditioning, nightcanteens, tuckshop, laundry services. The hostels are so big and filled with so many students that lifts are crammed with students. The washroom and toilets though washed daily, is always dirty owing to many students in a particular floor. Some also face sanitary issues.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are the most helpful people in the college. With no ragging policy , students are comfortable with their seniors to speak about their educational or other aspects. They help us with several things.

Admission

1.Entrance Exam (on whatever is taught in class 11 and class 12 maths, physics and chemistry. The level is easier than iit or jee level exams) 2.results are out and the ranks are alloted according to performance. 3.during counselling, the students are given the preference according to their rank. 4.students having good rank get better preferences over the bad ones. 5.the number of students in a particular branch are catagorised. Better rankers get placed in a better (1st,2nd)category while the others in(3rd,4the,5th)lower category. 6.The difference in the category is only the fee structure. Better category have to give lower fees. While the others have to give higher. 7.The difference in fees is around 1 lakh from each category to another.(1st to 2nd category fee difference is 1 lakh, 2nd and 3rd is one lakh, 1st and 3rd will be 2 lakhs around)

Faculty

4

The faculties are interactive. They are comparatively better than the teachers who taught us in the school. Professors have a lots of experience compared to the ones in the other colleges. many foreign faculties also come to teach.

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
