Remarks

Positive- the college has very good range of extra curricular activities. It really brings out the talent inside of a student. Negative- the academics is lagging a little from other colleges. Also the i internship is really hectic

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is is more theory based. I think it should more and more clinical and practical based. We have one university exam at the end of each year , both theory and practical. We have inter nals after every 5 or 6 months

Placement Experience

4

We have 1 year of internship after 4th year of studies. The duty is really hectic. We have to work for about 12- 14 hrs per day daily.after internship we are placed in a rural health centre for 1 year. The cpnditions there also are not very good as they are remote locations

College Events

4.5

1. Freshers event- after 1 month of admisssion of the new students 2. Bihu 3. College week- the annual sports and cultural fest 4. JDA - 3 night show organised by the interns 5. Various quizzes 6. Saraswati pooja

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is really feasible. We have to give 30000 only at the time of admission and nothing else. Only the exam fee we have to give before each university exams. The exam fees are aroung rs 2500. College also provides scholarship for financially backward students

Fees and Financial Aid

I know about amjad scholarship. It is fpunded by a senior professor of our college only. He provides 2000rs monthly to all backward status students. There is also a minority scholarship which gives 12000 yearly to the minority students

Campus Life

3.5

We have many sports activities. We have college week where every game is contested and open to all students. Also the annual cultural fest and the sarasvati pooja is celebrated very nicely. We have lack of labs.but extracullicar events are good here

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel is not upto mark. The building is old. The no of beds are also low. The food is also just ok. The tables we have to buy for ourselves. Also the lights and fans. Nothing is lrovided by the college

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are really good in hostel. They rag in the first few months. But later they help a lot in studies. And in other aspects like sports and cultural events. We have very good friends who are senior and stay like batch mates

Admission

I had appeared for the state medical entrance exam and secured rank of 113. Then i appeared for counselling with all my original documents and opted for silchar medical college. Then on the mentioned date i came to this college for admission with my documents and oaid to requited fees. Thats it

Faculty

3.5

Some faculties are really good. We never get bpred in their class. Their way of teaching should be adopted by everyone, then everyone would do classes reguwlarly. While some are just doing formality, they just come to show us their slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is not at all easy like all the other courses but since this course deals with life and death situations I would say the practical applications introduction has lead to a better side of this course. This course is completedly real world based curriculum. The faculty members are well equipped to everything they teach and the methods currently focus on application based studies. This course has many exams each month and therefore the student has to study properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to be a doctor so that I could cure people and help them to get rid of various diseases. The faculty: student ratio is approx 1:4 The faculty are highly qualified with MBBS, MD, MS, DM, March, and various other degrees done by them. The teaching process includes lectures in the classroom with the help of smart slides. Almost every month there are exams but there are internals every 3 months and finally the finals. Medical study is one of the toughest courses to pass as we need to know about a lot of different things all at once
