Remarks
The college is good for placements but not for academics. If you're a person who's looking for decent placements then this is the college you're looking for, if you're looking for academics then do not choose this college as the curriculum and teachers aren't up to the standards.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very outdated. The course is given by the university VTU. It follows a very old and outdated course curriculum, unnecessary things are taught sometimes. Although I find some subjects interesting and worth taking up.
Placement Experience
The placements are good. Many companies arrive at this college and recruit many different students. The average salary of the companies is around 6-7 lakhs per annum. Although companies offering 20 lakhs also come to the college.
College Events
The different events that are celebrated in my college are Ethnic day: it's an event where all students come to the college in their ethnic wear and take pictures of each other. No class takes place during this day. Utsaha- this is the annual college fest which is the biggest event of the year. Celebrities are called for this event and it's jam packed with fun.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible I think. I am paying around 3.5 lakhs per annum for gulf quota without any donations. People through comedk pay around 1.75-2 lakhs per annum. And for CET it's even cheaper.
Fees and Financial Aid
I do not know about any scholarship or loan facilities offered by my college. Since it's a very reputed college there must have to be some kind of scholarship that they provide. Anyone seeking a scholarship can hop on to www.bmsit.in for more details. I'm sure the website will help you out.
Campus Life
Activities like labs are good but again it depends on the course as some course have great lab curriculum and some are straight up bad. I am a part of the college cricket team and am glad to say that the college has necessary facilities and a very good cricket team.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are very helpful and will definitely help if asked a question. They will provide you information about the subjects in the next semester and will guide you to the right direction. 2-3 talks are given by different alumni’s in a semester out of which 1-2 are helpful.
Admission
The college had held an expo back in my home country. The expo was where I first found out about the college. The college has two branches one is BMSIT&M and the other one is BMSCE. BMSCE is the main branch and has been a reputed engineering college for a long time now. I have joined the college through gulf quota which required me to have over 75% in 12th CBSE.
