VIT, a place to learn a chance to grow.

College is overall well disciplined but it can really get crowded at times. Being a private college it compensates for its high spend by the quantity, this can be worked somehow. The ragging free and drug-free culture on the campus is extremely good.

Every semester has three exams, except the regular quizzes and assignments on the go. The course curriculum is very diverse and also contains the latest hot topics like blockchain. Overall one gets enough time to live the college life but also become proficient in his/her studies.

Industries do come to the college for an internship, in terms of placement our college has set records every year with 100 percent placement. The highest package goes to 40 lakhs nearly. Internships go up to 1 lakh stipend. VIT has some big companies like Microsoft, Amazon, etc. in its catalog. Job offers are divided into 2 big groups namely dream, super dream.

We host one of the best and biggest tech and cultural events in the country, named gravitas and riviera respectively. We have participation from all over the world for this wonderful event. Gravitas is held in the fall semester and riviera is held in the winter semester. Riviera is a very fun place where pro shows are held with big celebrities coming. Gravitas has many international conferences for advances in the latest technology and pure sciences.

The fee structure depends on the category by which one has entered, there are 4 categories and fees increases from 12 lakh in total for 4 years to 35 to 40 lakhs depending on various factors like histel and mess, etc. Higher categories may be too expensive for a lower-middle-class family.

College provides scholarships to students whose parents don't earn much and also their VITEEE rank holders. The latter scholarship depends on your academic performance too if one performs badly academically after availing scholarship in a year he may be deprived of that scholarship.

Sports is actively promoted in the college and hence VIT produces some very good sportsmen for the country. Other than sports we have a lot of non-technical clubs and chapters which promote nontechnical activities on the campus.

The hostel has some good infrastructure with various amenities, hostel rooms are a bit expensive but they are maintained properly. VIT hostels are considered one of the safest hostels, not just in terms of robbery and all but also in terms of drug abuse too. They are considered the best for it.

Seniors are one of the best parts of this college, all of them are very supportive and always ready for helping. Alumni is maintained averagely, there are a lot of very good vit alumni which are not still a part of VIRAA. It should seriously work on the alumni network part.

So one day amidst the list of engineering exams we were applying for, one of my friends came up and asked me to apply for some institute named Vellore institute of technology, I didn't know about it at that time and applied without it giving it much consideration, then after giving its entrance I secured a high enough rank to get computer science as a major in this college, I researched upon it and it turns out to be one of the finest colleges in India. So I decided to enter it.

Many faculty are very good who know a lot of stuff and also doing active research, but everywhere there are exceptions and hence here too not all teachers are such. Teachers also encourage students to involve in research along with them and other multinational companies.
