Remarks
College is good. A moderately positive place to study engineering. A lot of amenities to enjoy and a lot of scopes to research. Labs are always at the student's disposal for work. Entertainment is also good. Recreational and healthy surroundings.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is based on semi-practical learning with projects involved in almost every subject. Though the teachers are not too scrutinizing in terms of work done in those projects, it helps us understand the subject better. All the days are moderately hectic. There are 2 mid-terms, one of them being open book. Then there is a semester-end final exam.
Placement Experience
Placements are rocketing when it comes to wire branches. Non wire branches have it a bit difficult at times but get placed anyway. The average package for non-wire branches is a bit less than the wire-branches. Placements are good otherwise.
College Events
We have the gravitas(tech), riviera(cultural) events. Both events are widely popular. Participation is pretty massive with celebrities often performing in those events. Some of the events also constitute other college participation. Tech events go on all around the year organized by clubs and chapters.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a bit expensive compared to other colleges being the number one private college in India as rated by the MHRD. The fee structure includes a four-year division of tuition fees averaging 2. 5 lakhs per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers a scholarship of 2 lakh rupees to the top 1000 VITEEE ranked students. Also, they provide free education to state board toppers or any higher secondary education toppers. The availability of loans is beyond my knowledge.
Campus Life
We have the gravitas(tech), riviera(cultural) events. Both events are widely popular. Participation is pretty massive with celebrities often performing in those events. Some of the events also constitute other college participation. Tech events go on all around the year organized by clubs and chapters. These are the main uniting parts. Genders and races are not discriminated against. College also organizes DJ nights per semester.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are decent and comes with the options of seats and ac or non ac. The hostels are decently spacious with the hostel buildings spaced about over a 100 acres of land. Surrounded by trees and all other amenities like swimmimg pool, sports courts and gyms.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni and seniors are of immense help when it comes to higher studies or placement or college studies. Ragging culture is absent. There are social media groups of alumni and seniors that help us in contacting them. Materials for study can also be gained from them.
Admission
VITEEE is the entrance exam held. Top 1 lakh students are called and based on their ranks, they get to select the branch that has seats available by the time their rank is called for counseling. After selection of the branch, the admission fee has to be paid on the spot in the form of a Demand Draft.
Faculty
Most of the faculty here are from IITs and are good with exceptions. 60-70 % of the faculty are pretty decent in their job and are keen to make the students learn. Overall staff are good but not the best.
