Remarks
Positive remarks about my college are the sternness they have against ragging which makes it really helpful and the ambiance is improved a thousand times. The negative aspect of my college, in my personal opinion, is that the timings are not at all flexible.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for me follows that of B.tech Biotechnology and it comprises of various subjects which will further help us in the required fields of expertise. The exam structure comprises two CAT exams and one FAT exam per semester and it also includes three Internals which either includes quizzes or digital assignments.
Placement Experience
The placements, as I have heard, are very good when it comes to CSE and IT branches with maximum salaries reaching to a swooping 32 lakhs annually. About my branch of Biotechnology, the placements are okayish but still, they are in plenty.
College Events
The events in my college are one of a kind. The Riviera organized by VIT stands as the fifth-largest cultural event in all of India. In addition to this, we have a technical fest called Gravitas, organized at the end of September.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of VIT is expensive but at the same time, we can't label it as unfeasible. The fee value stands tall in lakhs and extends more when put in addition with the facilities that we have to for which includes hostel fee and the food facilities.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am only in the second year and I am not really aware of all the good scholarships yet but I'm getting to know them as I grow here. About the loans, I again have not much idea because I haven't been exposed to it well enough as of now.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities here in my college are extremely developed. We have swimming, volleyball, basketball, football and so much more that gives us students enough exposure to us for our personal growth and development.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I have opted for Hostel and the rates are sky-high here. The facilities on the same, are also good compared to other colleges at least. In addition to these, the infrastructure is also better compared to other colleges.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are extremely generous and helpful. They are actually available anytime you want help from them which is a very positive thing that I have experienced here. The alumni to are very understanding and helpful.
Admission
I got in VIT by appearing in the VITEEE entrance exams conducted by VIT. The exam was held in January 2018 and it consisted of four subjects, namely, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. After the exam was conducted, the results came out by the beginning of May 2018 and according to the rank I was called in for admissions at the Chennai campus wherein according to the ranks, we had different courses available for us to choose one from the extensive list.
Faculty
My opinion on the faculty of my college is subjective just like any other individual's opinion. My personal experience with the faculty has always been good and they have always been supportive of the students. Although some teachers are partial that's just something we have to deal with.
