Remarks
On a positive note the college offers enough opportunity to excel in life. It is a good blend of academics, extra curricular activities and fests. Although, it has poor infrastructure and outdated course for some of the labs in first year.
Course Curriculum Overview
Truely speaking, the college lacks infrastructure in labs. The practical course follwed is outdated and labs are just a formality in the first year. Although branch specific labs from second year are good enough. A semester of 6 months include 2 mid term exams, internal and external practical exams and an end semester examination. You end up giving one exam, the next one is waiting for you. The course offered enhances skills of an individual.
Placement Experience
The placements of the college are moderate with an average package of 3. 5 lakhs. Also, unfortunately it does not provide internship opportunities. Many companies like infosys and IBM visit during the placement season but offer low packages.
College Events
RTU witness two major events, one is Anukriti, the cultural fest and the other is Thar, the technomanagement fest. Both the fests are organised in the even semester in the month of February and March. The cultural fest is eminent in Rajasthan and observes foofall of 4000+ participants. Both the events are organised at a large scale by the efforts of the students of the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Economically the college is feasible. A general candidate can pursue his b. tech in just 4 Lakhs which is nominal in comparison to extreem fees of private colleges. The fee is 45,000 for the first sem and 35,000 for the rest of the semester. Exam fees is to be deposited in every semester which is around 1,500.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers scholarship of around 25,000 for students who have more than 80% in class 12th and secure a rank less than 65,000 in jee mains. Also it offers scholarship in fees to one student from each branch.
Campus Life
There are various active clubs within the college which organise extra curricular activities. NSS is also active in the same. We have various competition like inter branch sports championship, line follower, glider workshop, Autocad workshop, programming workshops, quizez and lot more.
Alumni/Alumna
We have a strong alumni network working in reputed places. Even the mangalyan had alumnis of RTU. They are helpful during the placement season and provide as much help as possible. We hold alumni meets which strenghtens the bond with the alumnis.
Admission
I had PCM as my corr subjects in class 12th and secured 89. 8%. Also I secured 90 marks in JEE mains exam which was insufficient to get admission in any NIT. In accordance to my marks I grabbed admission in Rajasthan Technical University in b. tech in computer science branch, which is an eminent university of Rajasthan after NIT Jaipur. The admission process included seperate counseling called REAP. It is basically for all the colleges in Rajasthan. The admissions are based on jee mains and class 12th scores. I opted for this college over other private colleges since it is a government institution which adds value to the degree. Also I was intended to pursue masters in future so I chose a government institute over private for my graduation.
Faculty
The faculty is amazing for most of the branches and take the classes regularly. The faculties are skilled and have great experience. They cover the course effectively and provide support to the students.
